It’s also the 100th anniversary of U.S. entry in WW1. In addition to the fighting there were US bases all over France in WW1.

I agree that our beautiful FLOTUS is “spot on” and “seldom misses a beat”. I have wondered if she has an assistant that researches what she will be doing on her trips, so she can dress appropriately for the occasion (ex. the flowing black pants outfit she wore on their middle east tour). She has missed a couple of times, but I am so proud of to have her as a representative of our country.

It occurred to me the other day, and I've not seen a whisper of this ever before in any media, that we have a real Jackie Kennedy again for a first lady.
Educated, lovely, soft spoken and beloved by her nation.
If she decides to remodel the White House and leave it "just the way it was", however ....

Lunchtime in Paris, Pres Trump hosting le déjeuner for military commanders also invited to mark 100th anniv of US troops in France for WWI.
At the same time, Mrs Trump was visiting the playroom at a Children's Hospital in Paris.
The president's motorcade along the Seine afforded Pres Trump a postcard view of the city. .PER Mark Knoller=CBS-Jenna-wp.

Well, it’s the closest thing the French have to the 4th of July.
The fact that it ushered in The Terror and the Vendee Genocide is hardly Trump’s fault. Certainly there’s no better day for him to visit.

Some top brass at Pres Trump's working lunch in Paris today (per pool reporter @maggieNYT)
Sorry left who were at the lunch out.
After being welcomed to Paris this morning, Pres & Mrs Trump exchange a kiss on each cheek as they go their own way for a few hours.

“Big parade in Paris - watch for the Legion, generally last because of its “unique” march cadence.”
I saw that on Monty Python. I think they all went to the ministry of silly walks.

Maybe I’ve been living under a rock these past years, but which other presidents have attended a Bastille day celebrations?

Agreed - I have said before that she looks stunning with her hair up. So elegant.

Like her hair up! Yes, and red is a great color for her.
