Crissake Jimbo, quit screwin’ around and get the harness on another Hamster or two.
And don’t cheap out on the peanuts.

I've been unable to reach him. Also do not have his new address. ...but don't take it personally.
To: Jim Robinson
John needs to get one of those good old-fashioned pagers (if they still exist).

And after you make those changes, you have to log-off and stay that way if you want to have the sidebars. Of course, you can’t comment when logged off so that’s a downer.

I dont know why it works for some but not others. Someone else suggested to use http rather than https when coming to FR. Apparently that makes a difference on some browsers, had no effect on mine.
Also Brevity can be set to Headers on the main articles index page, then you should be able to get the sidebars.
When all else fails, heres a direct link to the breaking news sidebar:

I could swear I remember this same thing happening before, with the same temporary fix. Strange.

Been that way all afternoon.

Thanks (especially for the direct link, which saves some time).
I’ll add that changing my settings needed more time than usual. Anyone who tries this method should be ready to wait a little longer for the settings to change—wait until each change is confirmed before clicking elsewhere or closing the window.

Possibly the same or similar problem. Or the same people doing the same or similar DOS attack. But I’m thinking it’s more likely a network or router problem.

I was able to solve my problem by switching browsers. Firefox: problem. Chrome and Edge: no problem.
To: pgkdan
But now, it is forcing you to triple-post!!! LOL
