President Donald Trumps executive orders to increase enforcement and follow existing immigration law is leading some illegal aliens to self-deport.
In a report by the Pueblo Chieftain, sources told the local newspaper that illegal immigrants, fearful of being prosecuted and deported by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), are self-deporting primarily back to Mexico.
Sources report that some undocumented families have left the area for Mexico rather than run the risk of having a parent arrested or even sentenced to prison for immigration violations, the newspaper reported.
According to the report, families began self-deporting after a total of 14 illegal aliens in the Pueblo, Colorado area had been arrested and deported.
Many of the individuals arrested had previously come to the U.S. on an H-2A foreign guest worker visa, but overstayed and had been living in the country illegally for years.

BUILD THE WALL NOW.
Self deporting is a real smart move at this point. If ICE grabs you and deports you, I don’t think you have a chance to legally immigrate. If you leave the country voluntarily, you at least can control your own destiny, avoid deportation, and have a chance, however slim, at legal immigration.
DUH, says another report.
Remember one of Mittens’s better moments in 2012, when he talked about self-deportation and he was attacked for even suggesting it? He was told that it would NEVER occur and it was racist to suggest that it would or should.
Well, these illegals must be racist against themselves (or each other), because they’re doing just what he and many of us predicted they would do and should be encouraged to do.
Now, the trick is to keep them out.
Until all illegals are gone from states like CA; it’s just a drop in the bucket.
I will not vote for Trump again..if he does not build the wall.
With e-verify, interior enforcement, and communicating the fact that illegals are will not get any handouts we might not need a wall. George W. Bush and 0bama are not ringing the dinner bell at the border anymore.
This is pure fake news. People all over the world are trying everything they can to still get into this country.
The answer to this fake objection is that there is no need to round them all up - all we need to do is create a political and legal environment that's sufficiently unfriendly to them and they'll self-deport. Equally importantly, they won't be as motivated to come here to begin with.
On a related note, apparently a large number of “voters” are “unregistering” since Trump set up a committee to check the accuracy the process. Trump asked the States to provide voter information.
When laws not enforced, many people are dishonest and will cheat. When they think that they might be caught, they stop. Very simple.
Does this work for everyone? No, but it can have a significant impact.
Wonder what kind of impact all of this enforcement will have on the upcoming elections?
Word of advice to the illegal aliens who illegally voted:
Self deport now because if you are caught you are going to jail.
Pueblo is becoming important from an elections standpoint. It used to be solidly democrat, but Trump won the county. It is solidly blue collar/ generational latino. If the illegals leave, it will solidify southern Colorado red, and we may be able to turn the state red again.
This is good!
One aspect of self-deportation though to bear in mind. Just as more gun control takes firearms from the law abiding, only the more-law-abiding legals will self-deport. The bad hombres will not.
Still, a great step in the right direction, and makes it easier to get the rest.
The only problem with Mitten’s comment about self-deportation, is that he wasn’t of a mind to express a new tough policy that would cause them to do so.
The only reason Trump is getting them to do it, is because he made brash statements, telegraphed a new tough enforcement of our laws policy, and then folks like the border patrol made public statements about how much better things were.
Don’t kid yourself. He was another open boarders d-head. He’d have been no better than George Bush on the subject.
I really believe he is trying, but, he has everyone against him at the moment, even from his own party.I think he might try it,in the budget end of Sept. He just today undid one of Obama’s visa programs for at least one year. I’m trying to be patient too, but it is hard sometimes.
Excellent. Let’s step up enforcement so the criminals will step up their self-deportations.
I’m told one of our local “Beanervilles” is now vacated as in completely empty. I’m going to have to go see for myself.
When the local poultry operation can’t find enough to hire I’ll begin to feel like things are approaching right. Of course, the only reason the locals try to get hired there is to get fired so their unemployment payments can resume.
I guess I can hope for a day when people have to work instead of bleeding me white as long as I don’t hope to hard and make those dreams my master.
The most intelligent thing to come out of Mitt Romney's mouth was his statment about self-deportation, unfortunately, he didn't mean a word of it, any more than he meant any of the other conservative-sounding rhetoric that he forced himself to say on the campaign trail.
That doesn't change the fact that it's the right message. Defeatists and advocates of amnesty always tell us that we'll never round up or deport them all. As far as arguments go, this is one of the more inane ones, since by the same line of reasoning we shouldn't arrest any criminals at all - after all, some some will always slip through the cracks. But if a rebuttal is needed, here we have it: Make America's public and private institutions less friendly towards illegals and they will self-deport with very little effort on the part of law enforcement.
