Mann is the Penn State climatologist famous for inventing the "hockey stick" graph promoting the notion that planetary temperatures spiked in the 20th Century after a Golden Age of stasis...What Mann did was splice two separate data sets to create the illusion of spiking temperatures.

Being a Penn State graduate, I am embarrassed because PSU has been unwilling or unable to address these issues with Michael Mann. He should NOT be there to disparage and further damage the image of Penn State.
NASA has a role in this in its continuing financial support to the university. Where is the adult supervision?
If the facts are that well established then any other scientist should be able to replicate his work.
I’m not so sure this is accurate reporting. Mann, of course, is a fraud. And he’s trying to harass his critics and shut them up by abusing the legal system.
But I read the PSI article and comments and I’m not sure the report is what is going to happen as deigned by the court, or what ought to happen.
I’d like to know the reality of the situation.
As far as this author, this final comment,
“I suppose his still being at Penn State is no surprise; this is the university that gave us Jerry Sandusky and Joe Paterno, after all.”
