that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, , than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed

We are suffering through LOTS of evil these days.

The democrat communist party and its followers and the press relentlessly inflict evil upon the good people of the USA.

There is no peaceful or political solution to this problem, this existential threat.

I think your handle nickname is a misnomer...

I came here thinking I would read something happy about the Fourth of July and love of America. Instead, I read gloom and doom. What are we supposed to think instead?

Since it’s all over, we should pull down the flag, shut out the lights, and shut ‘er down? Is that right?

I’m afraid division and evil are part of this world. There is no such thing as perfect unions. You could create a new nation tomorrow and in no time at all you would find people dividing. No two humans think alike.

We’ve battled “progressives” and anarchiststs for most of our history. We managed to prevail against the communists of the Industrial Revolution and their labor union minions and labor unions are still in decline. We survived the Great Depression. We survived World War’s I and II with their Nazi’s and Fascists. We managed to shutter most of the New Deal after Roosevelt left. We survived 90% tax rates. We created the Conservative Coalition. We managed to elect Ronald Reagan. We managed to elect the Republican Revolution and kill a lot of Clinton’s agenda. Ever more restrictions upon abortion are being put into place in many states. We managed to elect Donald Trump instead of Hillary Clinton. I won’t go so far to say times are hunky dory but I ain’t giving up just like that.

Happy 4th of July, America. I still love you.

Complete list of those who signed the Declaration of Independence

Thank you. My g-g-g-g-g-g-g-grandfather was Signer John Hart of New Jersey...

When a significant percentage of the population do not view the spirit of the Declaration and the content of the Constitution with reverence, and don’t feel privileged to live in the United States of America, it becomes difficult to be united as a nation.

More...when the presidential nominee of the Democrats doesn't recognize the Constitution as authority for this land we have a problem.

Thus, the best test and justification for secession in history (the South failed this test) was created, our new country was born, and the foundation for our Constitution was brought forth.

As with the Constitution itself, so with the Declaration of Independence (D of I), the Left has tried to bury theirr existence and contents in the minds and consciences of the American People.

It is critical that we once again raise awareness and understanding of both the D of I and the Constitution in the hearts and minds of our citizens. This is part of what it will take to accomplish our main objective, which is more than just getting Trump elected.

What is our main objective and goal in the next few decades? RESTORE OUR FREE CONSTITUTIONAL REPUBLIC.

By most accounts, at the time of the Revolution, 20% were Loyalists, 33-45% were Patriots, and the rest were ballast. If you replace Loyalist with statist, and Patriots with Deplorables, we are right where we started.

AND YET...I see a future. As did everyone along the journey Vaden posted. Without faith, you are lost.

Today I stand tall. I am fearful that we may let this watershed moment in US history be wasted. But I am confident we won't.

Today, of all days, Let us celebrate, fellow Deplorables. Let not our faces be long with #NeverTrumpism or CNN. We are on the ascent. Our President - a billionaire from Queens - is more like us than any other guy we've had in a LONG time. The future of our Nation, where we'll always have 20% of the citizenry being chronic whiners, is bright again.

I love your passion. That's exactly what we need moving forward. I'm sorry for the negative flavor of my initial comments. They really weren't meant that way. For the sake of mine and everyone’s children we absolutely must fight for what we believe in. I am very encouraged by some of what is happening, and clearly we accomplished a lot in beating back what was sold as the inevitability of a Hillary Presidency.

One of the things I most grateful for in my life is that no matter how many worries and issues to deal with, all you have to do is go out to the park, or any place where children are playing and happy, and it's like watching a beautiful sunrise. On this day, I love seeing kids at our town's Forth of July parade.

I'll put a burger/kabob/hotdog/sausage on the grill for you (unless you're a vegan, in which case I'll just give you a beer).

Good for you, sargon—how wonderful that you can trace your ancestry to an actual signer.

Mr. Hart would be gladdened to know his posterity is still fighting for freedom.

Seems like this would be a fitting declaration against the tyranny of today, with a few edits.

Change He (King George) to It (The Federal Government).

Trump could present it to Congress with a list of violations under the Constitution.

My favorite is:

“He has erected a multitude of New Offices, and sent hither swarms of Officers to harrass our people, and eat out their substance.”

Congress could be given an ultimatum: dissolve every single three letter department starting with the IRS and set up a new, far smaller central government within the limitations of the Constitution - or face another bloody revolution.

Nobody is saying give up - but I don’t think it’s fair to call people out for being ‘negative nellies’ on the 4th.

Our celebration of Independence Day should not be about expressing solidarity with and loyalty to an undeserving central government.

It should not be about complacency, or silver linings.

It should be about the courage and clarity it took for the American Revolutionaries in 1776 to say “enough” and declare their independence and fight for it.

The Declaration was one giant complaint - a long list of grievances against the government and the resolve to reject it. You can be sure the American Revolutionairies were called “negative” “trouble maker” “complainer” along with “traitor” and “rebel”. And often hung for it.

The 4th of July is an appropriate day to pause in our flag waiving and fireworks displays to ask ourselves the tough questions:

Do we now have the independence our founding fathers fought for?
If not, is it time to fight again?
Do we have the courage?

Yeah, back then it was a government of the people and for the people. Now it is a one world government of the rich elites of the world, screwing the common man into the ground while they enrich themselves more and screw us more, robbing us of our right to liberty at the cost of the blood of hundreds of thousands of America men and women who fought for that freedom. The stinking liberals, the commies, socialists, homocommies, dimocrats, etc, are the scourge of the world. All of them the sons and daughters of Satan himself.

Here's a simple version of what the article states.

Best 4th of July message I've seen.
