This entire family of Czechoslovakians and Polish foreigners were given access/status by Carter to many things that foreign born 1st and 2nd generation types from their countries had to work damn hard to earn in their second and later generations.. Williams College was an all male school for the wealthy until this women’s progressive generation. My father had a scholarship there in 1937-41 and WWII broke out before his senior year.
