Published on Jun 26, 2017 BAXLEY, GA (WTOC) — Baxley Police are still looking for a couple who attacked a restaurant owner and her 15-year-old daughter last Thursday - over a food order.
At this time, the video has nearly two million views on Facebook. Police tell us they're expanding their search for the two suspects beyond just Southeast Georgia, and a handful of outraged citizens are also putting their money together to offer a $2,000 reward for information that leads to their arrests.
The assault, captured on surveillance video outside Baxley's Quik Chik stand, has people talking around the world. It shows a couple as the woman assaults the owner, then the man sucker punches the 15-year-old daughter. Tips led police to file warrants against Eric and LaTasha Smith, who live in Savannah. Police tell us they've enlisted the U.S. Marshals to help find the pair.
"They're willing to help us, which is great because they have people in places we can't go and they have resources we don't have," said Chief James Godfrey, Baxley Police Department.
There are a lot of good black folks out there. Remember that.
But I do live in the south where we seem to get along better.
Most people don’t realize that the FATTY GUY had been to that same place FIVE times previously, in each case pulling the same scam:
“You done got my order WRONG, now whacchyu gon’ gimme..?!?!”
EVERYONE there had dealt with that same disgusting, Zeppelin-like CON ARTIST.
He had his GF are EXACTLY the reason why so many people in the service industry —including service industry people who look exactly LIKE him— despise serving that type of person:
“They’re going to ask for 100% more stuff and in the end they’ll be totally unsatisfied and will TAKE IT OUT ON *ME*”
THAT is why people don’t want to wait on them, etc.
So the Marshalls can go down in the sewers to find this pos?
The restaurant owner should be able to refuse service to ‘problem customers’. I thought they were able.
Maybe this owner thought it would be too ‘shaming’ to single him out.
They will be found.
The whole country knows about those two now.
No woman than ugly could remain anonymous for very long.

Maybe attaching a reward would help.

There are some black women who aren’t afraid to get in there and mix it up with thugs.

I have always enjoyed the comedy of Chris Rock. I hope he is OK. He has always seemed like a good guy.
He could have easily killed that girl with such a punch (I saw the video).
I’m glad he wasn’t able to put all of his weight into it. The Escalade must be able to handle a large payload.
