They don’t like the idea of paying their fair share?

If they weren’t carry the illegals they wouldn’t be in this mess.

Illinois on the other hand is just pure graft.

A 2014 estimate puts the illegal alien population of California at 2,350,000.

All states were not forced into Medicaid expansion.

The new bill has the money going to states based on a per capita cap, not on the GDP or how much they choose to spend.

The 390 billion was the estimate of costs if they went to single payer.

Oh. Thanks.

Okay. Let's see. If I take 390,000,000,000 and.....wait.....it only goes up to 390,000,000,0. Grrrrrr.

Now I have to remember what my math teacher told me that time I was awake. Let's see. If you drop all the zeroes from the numerator and the denominator, you can divide the other non-zero numbers (whatever THEY'RE called) and then just add the zeroes back in when....zzzzzzzzzzz.....carp!, it's happening again!

Okay. Nobody took the bait, so I did my own arithmetic. Thanks, FReeps.

According to my cell phone, that works out to $11,818 per Californian.

Problem solved. Just charge every Californian $12,000 a year and, voila!, Single Payer Health Care. Just cut out the middle man.

Now. How to get EVERYbody in California to pony up the dough. THAT'S the tricky part.

Just pass a bill making the laws of mathematics illegal. If only they could print their own money like the feds can they wouldn’t have this problem.

Progressives and Socialists in American live off the USA’s ability to generate absolutely massive debt, in an unbacked currency, printed by the Federal Reserve with manipulated interest rates.

It works for now

I wouldn't put it past 'em.

We're already implementing Common Core math in this state and Gov."Flush It Down" Brown is already entering treaties with foreign government despite the Constitutional restrictions, so what's to stop him from firing up his own printing press? Certainly not the citizens of California. Bunch of morons.

They ought to cut all of it since California wants to go it alone

I agree. And I’m a native Californian. The socialists have ruined what used to be a great state.

It looks to like if you invite somebody to dinner you should have the money to feed them. California has invited scores of illegals in and then want the whole USA to support them. If California want free medicine for dead beats that is great just have the money to do so

I'm not a native Californian, I'm a transplant from Worshington State. Moved here in '87. Even then it was a LITTLE nutty, but we've taken nuttiness to a whole 'nother flavor profile since.

I think Moonbeam is having daddy issues. He's bound and determined to destroy what his father, Edmund G. Brown, Sr., built.

Fun factoid: Do you know how Brown, Sr. got the nickname, "Pat"?

He was so patriotic that, in college, his classmates gave him that nick. Short for "patriot" or "patriotic" for those lurkers in Marysville.

'Nother fun factoid: Do you know what Allied troops called Nazi soldiers during WWII?

Jerry.

Coincidence? Jes' sayin'.

To: Logical me

So when we go single payer, hopefully not in my lifetime, it will be a merge of Medicare and Medicaid where every one qualifies. Anthem, Blue Cross, and United Healthcare will be out of business, those employees lose their jobs, and shreowner value destroyed. Govt annexes 17% of the GDP. American medical innovation stops, Pharm companies leave the US,and we end up with care like the incompentant VA where I wait forever for treatment, give up, and get worse.

Ok where do I sign up? Then I will look for Granny Clampit for some doctoring in the side

Given that California currently has 12.4 percent of the nation’s population and 19.6 percent of the nation’s Medicaid funding, the Senate Obamacare restructuring proposal would “reallocate” 7.6 percent of national Medicaid funding on a per capita basis to the other states.

oh NO. The princesses..what will they do?

California would have nothing to worry about if the would just cut the medicaid the illegals are receiving.
