Polls: Public Sides with Trump on ‘Fake News’ Media Bias

The general public agrees with Republicans and President Donald Trump that the establishment press are biased against Republicans and the Trump administration, according to recent national polls.

According to recent YouGov polling, 70% of Americans “agree that news organizations report stories in a light that’s partial to who owns them.” In addition, while 52% of Democrats agree with this sentiment, a whopping 85% of Republicans do. When YouGov then asked “whether or not one would trust a news source if its track record proved objectivity,” 83% of Democrats said they would compared to 58% Republicans.

“The percentage point difference in the two surveys reveals that the general public sides more with Republicans than it does with Democrats on the topic of media bias,” YouGov noted.

Angered by the legacy media’s “Witch Hunt,” Trump has repeatedly blasted the “very fake” news media for making up stories about him and his administration.

He recently tweeted that the “Fake News Media” has “never been so wrong” or “dirty.” He accused the establishment media of using “phony sources to meet their agenda of hate. Sad!”

CNN has been one of–if not the most–egregious “fake news” offenders. On June 7, CNN had to issue an embarrassing correction after its reporters published a “fake news” story, based on anonymous sources, that claimed former FBI director James Comey would dispute Trump’s claim that Comey had told him on three occasions that Trump was not under FBI investigation.

Trump just articulated in simple terms what most people have been feeling for a long time. The older Americans who grew up with newspapers and three networks, no cable are rapidly losing confidence as well, more than shown here I suspect:

Trump, the master communicator, branded it what it is: Fake News.

After my freshman political science class in the late 70’s I have never trusted the media. Fake news has been here for decades.

Well......Trump has most definitely cut out the middle man by his no visual, no audio Press Briefings... Genius!

With Twitter and Rallies and Press conferences...our President speaks to the people himself and we decide what he's saying rather than go through the MSM filter bias! MSM is cutting their own throats by all the nonsense they put out there....Trump simply not going to be a part of it! LOLOL

People are waking up. I’m wondering what happened to Breitbart, it hasn’t loaded for me in 3 weeks or more...

I never bother with mainstream news, I knew they were liars 30 years ago.

I hope the moronic media keeps it up until they lie themselves out of business. We just went through eight years with the media sucking up to and lying to cover up the crimes of the obama regime. Fast and Furious and Benghazi are only two of many of the crimes the media lied to the public about. The dirt-bags are still lying but they are trying to bring down a president instead of protect one.

The public should recognize the parent corporations enabling the malevolent MSM — namely, Disney, Comcast, Time Warner (AT&T), Viacom.

The left-stream media coined the term “fake news” to try to discredit sites like Breitbart. Now they’re stuck with it themselves.
