Linebacker David Harris has agreed to a two-year deal with the New England Patriots, a source told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter on Wednesday.
The New York Jets released Harris on June 6 after being unable to agree on a pay cut with the linebacker, who played 10 seasons for the team.

As much as I’d like to question this I can’t deny that Belichik has an eye for solid players and gets more out of his players than any coach in the league. And I’m as far from a Pats fan as you can get - I’m an Indy Colts guy, but it is what it is.
Guy wants a ring. Bill has seen him play 2x per year for 10 years. Give him a 1-2 year deal. Can’t Lose
I want to see the Pats win this Superbowl too, because it will no doubt be a referendum on Trump’s agenda.
I can’t recall ever hearing anything about him.
Harris is a good pick up for the Pats...they know him well and he will plug a hole they have in the linebacker group. Bill knows what he has here and won’t put him in a position to fail. That said, don’t be surprised if Harris has a year to remember...smart veteran getting his only shot at a Super Bowl.
The Patriots have a good track record of plugging in veterans who have had good careers but no ring. In effect, they are just renting him for a year a one year need. If having Harris on the field allows Donte Hightower to get pressure on the QB, this will be a great play.
ICYMI, even before this, analysts were already saying NE has had the best offseason ever for a Super Bowl winner.

I want to see Brady and the Pats win every Superbowl while Trump is president up to and including 8 of them, just to drives the libs, and probably every other football fan totally insane, including myself, because I’m a Saints fan.
