Iran's Revolutionary Guard said it launched a series of missiles at Syrian terror bases in revenge for deadly attacks on its capital that were claimed by Islamic State.

The attack on Sunday was the first missile launch by Iran outside its own territory in 30 years, since the Iran-Iraq war which ran from 1980 to 88, media in the Islamic republic reported.

It came hours after supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, in a statement on his website, vowed Iran would 'slap its enemies' in honour of the victims' families, including those killed in Syria and Iraq.

Not hopefully. Certainly. There may be plenty of fools in Israel (there is a “peace” movement?)... but none in the Israeli military.

Guessing they were rockets, and not missiles. Highly inaccurate ones at that.

Yet another reason why there should not be a single US serviceman in the region. Let ‘em sort it all out on their own.

And if Russia wants to stay and support Assad, that’s fine with me, Assad is the best of all the bad alternatives there. At least Assad is not executing Christians. And he is not plotting attacks on the West in his spare time.

There is no reason to be in that region but I guess it’s good live fire training.

So we should engage in wars just to keep the price of oil down? Better to drill here, and turn our backs on foreign oil.

What targets were hit?

Did they too go after the Kurds like the Turks have been doing under the cover story of attacking ISIS.

Unfortunately in the context of the system that’s been constructed it goes way beyond just keeping the price of oil down.

If the petrodollar ceases to be the requisite currency for oil trade (OPEC) - the price of EVERYTHING in the economic scope of the dollar will be affected... and guess what that means for American consumers at, among other places, the grocery store.

Better to continue what Nixon started before the miscreants riding the military industrial jackwagon hijacked the Republic.
