Think of it this way. You are just an average white guy who is a plumber living Emeryville, CA, near the Oakland CA border. You were at a local bar and had three beers and some chips. Two weeks ago, there were violent riots by BLM types in the area of Oakland about seven blocks away from the bar. Some white people in cars were attacked by the BLM hate group and blacks looting.
You are having your last beer and about to leave, on the TV over the bar is reports of stores in nearby Oakland being looted by “protestors upset” with the not-guilty verdict of an Hispanic officer involved in the “shooting of an unarmed black man”. Images of the “protestors” running off with big screen T.V.’s are shown on the broadcast. You decide to get home to your lousy apartment where there is a cold half-eaten Subway tuna sandwich in the fridge.
You go outside and get into your van, you have a small “Trump 2016” bumper sticker on the van.
You turn down International Boulevard when suddenly you realize there is a large crowd of shirtless black males looting and in the street causing havoc. You slow down, to try and figure how to turn the van around. A group of blacks half in the street start shouting obscenities at you, one says you are a “Trump whitey”. They start to charge at your van, three of them are holding what looks like pipes or something.
You panic, and try to move forward before they reach the sides of your van. You cut a quick right and plow into a pack of “protestors”.
Now pretend you are a semi-drunk plumber in London just leaving a pub. You live in an area that is not “highly integrated”, rather it is balkanized by British hating Sharia Law muslims. You already know the news about the attacks by such radicalized muslims, and many of your friends have already been attacked or verbally as well as criminally abused by these Sharia Law muslims. You of your Brit brothers in the Navy was beat up coming out of a pub by such muslims for the crime of drinking a beer.
You drive out of the parking spot down a street and there is a huge pack of muslims in night shirts and caps. A pack of them fresh out of a sermon during Ramadan that was about the evil drinkers of beer. They saw you come out of the pub.
Four or five of the muslims start to try and surround your van and are shouting in Arabic (which if translated means you are guilty of the crime of drinking a beer during Ramadan).
They try to rush at your van. You are half drunk. You get very concerned and step on the gas and then next thing you know, you plow into some pedestrians who are also Ramadan muslims.
… or … it could be two or three Brits who have had so much shit from these people and one of your friends has a sister dead, murdered by radical Islamists in London. And the authorities are not really protecting you.
And London isn’t “highly integrated” – rather, it is highly BALKANIZED.
By the way, the plowing didn’t happen outside the mosque. It was outside, near, a Muslim welfare building.
You state the reason why we have trials, needing the context of actions. That said, this might be the “inevitable moment”. We’ll see but at some point somebody is going to break, and easily if they’re a family member of an attack victim.
If this is the case, today may be the “spiral of death” that is the “powder keg” underlying the UK. You can’t have these opposing ethics systems living side by side. All religions are NOT the same. If this is retaliation, it will be a call-to-arms for all Muslims. Islam is under attack (in their minds). This will accelerate the terrorism and, hence, the responses.
If not today, it is still inevitable.
