Some school districts deliberately inflate the number of valedictorians to enable these students to be eligible for admission to state colleges and related scholarships. They say it is for feelings but there is a logical reason for them to do so.

In NYC the Asians are getting rather good at LAX. City Champs was won by a new team from a charter school from Harlem - Fredrick Douglas Academy. They crushed the SI teams.

This is on par with “ban the box” as a serious strategy for improving employment opportunities for black men. The strategy is to not allow potential employers to include a “box” to check on an employment application which asks the question “Have you ever been convicted of felony?” This is not a joke, “advocates” have been pushing this jaw-droppingly stupid idea for many many years.

I view ANY credentials or work experience differently for “preferred minorities” (blacks, Hispanics, women) than I do those of white and Asian men.

Women aren't a minority and they earn better grades than men. Just as well you won't hire them. Working for you might not be a good experience.

p.s. I'd never hire an Irish man. LOL

My niece just earned a degree in journalism, about 200 of her classmates graduated with her. Almost 50 of them graduated Summa Cum Laude. Whaa???? Serious grade inflation seems to be going on here IMHO.

Yup.

I read a decade or so ago that being on the Honor Roll meant nothing anymore.

Women are a “preferred minority”; I’m sorry you’re sensitive about that.

My high school never had them. The decision was made early on that it was an elite school and just didn’t need to rank the students. It really is an advertisement of peaking early.

Kids today are being regularly mind-numbed and brainwashed because everything higher and nobler in the world that they can ASPIRE to is being eliminated - or maligned and degraded as being "unequal".

Pure marxism. No head is to rise above another's.

Ergo...no valedictorian nonsense!

The commie propagandists always go for the kids...on the well-founded premise it's rather pointless to go after the elders, most of whose minds they cannot bend to the acceptance of marxist ideology....but the kids, ah, yes....the kids are easy prey...and the teachers and most of academia foster what's going on !

I’m convinced that what used to be the “gentleman’s C” has now become the “gentleman’s A.”

Useless idiots to useful idiots. The latter has significance in the history of communism.

The elimination of the honor roll isn’t far behind.

We had a special speaker in church yesterday. He was telling that his son is a manager for a big firm in Georgia. He hired a male snowflake with a college degree and gave him his assigned duties.

The guy didn’t perform the duties — didn’t even try. The manager explained that if he didn’t do his job he would be out of a job. The next day the employee’s MOMMY called and pitched a fit.

The manager had to go sensitivity training to be schooled on how to interact with millennial employees.
