Let’s hope. There is always the alternative and it does not create high morale. Semper Fi

No one else has nuclear carriers.

Wrong, Secret Agent Man.

The Frogs have a nuclear powered carrier. Runs pretty good when the propeller isn't falling off.

By the way - I thought they had given you a number and taken away your name.

Interesting that the fact the ship has a brig is highlighted in the graphic.

The attention span of young men and women today is about the length of a 60 second commercial......ask any more of them and their bored because they have lost the ability to even communicate without their faces glued to their cellphones.
They’ve been “entertained” for so many years by their parents anything that requires focus and work isn’t interesting or rewarding.

Yeah, probably endless rounds of C.S. inspections and make-work. Officers hounding them for every little infraction..........

Yeah I forgot that one.

It weighs less than half the weight displacement of our carriers. And has less than half the fighters ours carry.

Why don't they get some strippers to put on shows after 1700? -

Oh, nevermind, they're in Scotland . . .

A conventional carrier has the exact same capabilities as a nuclear carrier.

As long as there are gas stations periodically...

One advantage for a Nuke CV is most of its fuel tank capacity is used to support the combat air wing. As an example CV-67 USS John F. Kennedy carried 2.5 million gallons of DFM for the boilers and 1.5 million gallons of JP-5 for the aircraft. A Nimitz class CVN carries 3.5 million gallons of JP-5 for air wing and about 500,000 gal of DFM for the emergency diesel generators, small boats and an occasional unrep for her escorts.

When I served in the U.S. Navy resigning was not an option. What’s with the Brits?

A conventional carrier has the exact same capabilities as a nuclear carrier.

But the nuke does not need frequent refueling.

The rest of the CVBG is unrepping for fuel every 4 days so there is little benefit that the CVN doesn't have to too. A conventional A/C carrier can sustain much more battle damage and still propel itself than a CVN. For that reason alone conventional is much better.
