That reminds me I need an adjustable metric crescent wrench.

Just trade in your 8" Crescent wrench for a 20cm Crescent wrench.

They work just about the same, no extra training required.

There's a good reason they're crying and it's called the cost of electricity:

That's what happens when you're stuck on stupid.

All the krauts need to do is come up with a better way to cheat on emissions testing so that they don’t get caught in the future.

In another forum I’m on, we had a liberal bemoaning Trump kicking Paris to the curb and talking about how we had to have more renewable electrical generation like Germany. He specially noted the high level of wind energy use in the German states of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern and Schleswig-Holstein. Well, their total population is a few millions and they have a huge amount of Baltic coastline favorable for wind energy. And they pay through the nose for that wind energy.

How that compares to a continent spanning nation with an economy built on a foundation of cheap energy, and that they should somehow be a model for us despite those huge differences, I’ll never know.

"Are any crescent wrenches non-adjustable? ;-P"

I've got a non-adjustable cresent wrench. You cannot buy them in stores. You typically have to find them buried in the dirt or properly cured in the rain. I found mine digging a hole beside my garage. I don't know if it metric or standard, because I can't find a nut that it fits.

Interesting. I haven’t followed the EV industry in Germany, so, that’s news to me, and, “it figures”.

There is absolutely no need for the US government or any government to make C02 treaties.

But I take it for a different reason. Market forces will do naturally what government regulations were trying to impliment.

Tesla is not only building a big battery plant in Nevada — but also has plans to build five more. Those battery plants are mostly for electric cars.

From everything that I’ve seen the number electric cars produced after 2020 is going to leap upward by over 1 million cars@ year and force down the cost of electric cars.

This will force down the amount of CO2 being produced annually and force down oil prices. The increased competition between electric cars and internal combustion cars will continually force down new car prices for a win win win. In fact, I expect the return of a golden age of cars not unlike the 1950-1960’s coming up after 2020.
