Former FBI, CIA, and Justice Department officials say they are baffled by reports that a fake Russian document affected former FBI Director James Comey's handling of the investigation into Hillary Clinton's use of a private email server.
CNN reported Friday that Comey knew the document — a memo purporting to show collusion between Loretta Lynch, who was then the attorney general, and the Clinton campaign — was fake. That has raised questions about why he used it as justification to skirt the Department of Justice and hold a press conference last summer in which he skewered Clinton for her "extremely careless" use of a private email server while she was secretary of state and defended the bureau's decision not to recommend charges.
{snip} Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham told CNN on Sunday that Comey "never once told a member of the House or the Senate that he thought the email was fake" and would have been "incredibly incompetent" to act on a document he knew to be fraudulent.
"I can't imagine a scenario where it's OK for the FBI director to jump in the middle of an election based on a fake email generated by the Russians and not tell the Congress," Graham said.

There is no doubt Comey is a Clinton stooge. That said I still can’t figure out what his end game was in this scenario. The only thing that makes sense is he was trying to break free from the Clinton sphere in favor of something with more gravity. Of course the razors edge says that maybe he just sucked at the job and the game playing.
Or maybe the memo was real or believed to be by Comey. Is that not the most simple explanation? CNN reporting something does not establish it as fact.
Apparently James Comey had access to a LOT of fake documents, all of which consumed his judgment and skewed his course of investigation.
Disinformation works, just about every time it is tried. Right along with fear and intimidation.

The memo may have been faked but the information is solid which then begs the question “Why is the memo fake?”.
Bottom line, Bill Clinton and Loretta Lynch met on a plane on a tarmac at some airport supposedly randomly and 1000 miles from their normal stomping grounds.
We don’t know the precise purpose of the meeting but we do know it’s goal — get Hillary off the hook.

The most likely explanation is that the memo was not fake at all. Comey is dirty and trying to cover up his bad decisions that were made to provide cover to Clinton.
he expected Hillary to win? That was his kompromat against her, her not knowing it was fake, preventing her from firing him? I can’t think of much else
My old friend Occam mentioned to me the other that the simplest explanation for Comey’s behavior was not that he thought the document was a fake but rather THAT HE KNEW IT WAS BOTH LEGITIMATE AND TRUE.
