For believing the Beatles are the central players in the downfall of Western Civilization.
So I guess...you’re more of a Rolling Stones fan?
Pepper was the beginning of the end for the Beatles. They were getting sick of each other and to switch things a bit Paul came up with the idea to dress up and play make believe pretending to be another band. There was still enough in them to come up with some good songs but it heralded a period where the albums became spotty at best. They were still the Beatles so plenty of stuff to admire but 3 years later they were done like dinner.
R&B reminds me of the freaky looking guy who said
he used to be messed up on drugs, but now
he’s all messed up on the Lord.
There are several theories out there, your being one of them. However, consider this:
In Britain (as opposed to here) a girlfriend is often referred to as a "bird".Now consider Marianne Faithful,Jagger's "bird" for years from about '64.She could sing (she had several huge hits in the mid '60s),she was "green" (late teens when they became and "item") and she sure could swing (she was the nude woman found during that famous police raid of Keith's house). Also,I read that Jagger had once commented in an interview that because of his fame and wealth he had seen seven wonders.
IMO that is,by far,the most plausible explanation.
My words were
“Rock music is one of each of these entities greatest enemies.”
Please don’t exaggerate my words to the readers. There is a significant difference between “one of the greatest” and “the central”
But I know, rock and roll doesn’t lend itself to true scholarship, now, does it?
I thought it was yet another song about Jane Asher.
From your post:
“However, I think the biggest wrecking ball of Western culture might have been resting in every Americans record collection (or iPod) John, Paul, Ringo, and George!”
Of course, I’m sure it doesn’t represent the views of the poster.
And this example of “true scholarship”:
“Have you seen this information about how wicked the four were? They were pioneers in serving Satan as his musicians, leading to horrendous evil filth as the woman whos fame attracted to Manchester the ISIS filth.”
Who wudda thunk the Beatles were responsible for the ISIS attack in Manchester!?!?
Only a delusional paranoid.

50 years....
Where DID the time go?
When I get older losing my hair,
Many years from now.
Will you still be sending me a Valentine
Birthday greetings bottle of wine
If I’d been out till quarter to three
Would you lock the door,
Will you still need me, will you still feed me,
When I’m sixty-four
You’ll be older too,
And if you say the word,
I could stay with you
I could be handy, mending a fuse
When your lights have gone
You can knit a sweater by the fireside
Sunday mornings go for a ride,
Doing the garden, digging the weeds,
Who could ask for more
Will you still need me, will you still feed me,
When I’m sixty-four
Every summer we can rent a cottage,
In the Isle of Wight, if it’s not too dear
We shall scrimp and save
Grandchildren on your knee
Vera, Chuck and Dave
Send me a postcard, drop me a line
Stating point of view
Indicate precisely what you mean to say
Yours sincerely, wasting away
Give me your answer, fill in a form
Mine for evermore
Will you still need me, will you still feed me
When I’m sixty-four
“Hey Jude” is also a drug reference; e.g., “remember to let iher under your skin (pop the skin as in heroin), then you’ll begin to make it better.”
The Beatles had just recently became a hit when I was in junior high school. My band teacher ragged on about how the Beatles were a flash-in-the-pan and would disappear within months. He was especially hard on Ringo, saying he was an incompetent drummer and couldn't hold the sticks properly. I hated that band teacher, and he retired into obscurity while the Beatles reigned supreme!
I heard that it was about Marianne Faithful, whom Mick Jaggar had brought by one day.
BTW, I once spent weeks trying to play that riff on guitar. I never could get it. Much harder than it sounds.
Sorry bro, I'm still waiting for an answer from Spinal Tap on the disgusting cover from "Smell the Glove".
I’m 62.........................
A memory I'll take to the grave was several years ago, when Rain performed in Dallas. I had my grandson on my knee when they played that song.
BTW, I'll be 64 next year. Not sure he'll be willing to sit on my knee then, not at 7 years of age. lol
I'm pretty damn sure there won't be any new additions to the family anytime soon.
Sounds like the title of a never-released Michael Jackson record.
