Poll: Majority of Americans Say Media Leaks Are Act of Treason

A new poll from Rasmussen Reports found 53% of likey US voters believe the leaking of classified information to the media is an act of treason.

30% disagreed and 18% were undecided.

"[W]hile 73% of Republicans consider the leaking of classified information which plagues the Trump administration as treasonous, only half as many Democrats (36%) feel that way now. Voters not affiliated with either major party agree by a 50% to 27% margin that the leaks are an act of treason," Rasmussen Reports said.

The White House has reportedly identified three leakers of classified information.

The NY Post's John Crudele reported Wednesday:

[A Washington source told me] [t]he Justice Department has gotten a warrant from the US Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court — also known as the FISA court — to conduct electronic surveillance on a group of journalists who’ve been the recipient of leaked information, the source said.

The journalists are not the target ... Instead, the Trump administration is looking for the leaker.

...Some in the administration are focusing on a retired, high-ranking military officer who held important posts in the intelligence service, according to the source.

The possibly high-ranking leaker was getting some of his information from people inside the White House who were holdovers from the Obama administration, the source said.

Those White House leakers — said to be three people — have either already been fired or will soon be, the source claims.

And these cases, I’m told, have been turned over to the Justice Department for possible prosecution.

It is illegal to leak classified information. The leakers, without a doubt should be prosecuted. Ditto the Editors of the Newspapers and Media that okayed to publish it.

We are either a country of laws or we are not.

Arrest the editors since they are the ones approving the stories.

Clearly the public was not told what Bradley Manning had done since they have been told to applaud him for bravely taking female hormones and waging an internal war against the Booosh administration.

It is called “treason”, but apparently now treason is just some sort of misdemeanor, like smoking a marijuana cigarette in public.

If it is prosecuted at all.

DemonRats are insisting that Donald J. Trump committed treason by disclosing details of the laptop bomb plot to Russian officials. And for this he should be impeached.

Maybe a few public hangings would serve to help straighten this out.
