Sorry about your Dad passing, TSR.
When my Dad passed I believed he was in a better place due to his decreased quality of living.
I look forward to being reunited with him and my Mom one day.

Awww. So sorry. You have my deepest sympathy. I also lost my dad to lung cancer, almost 22 years ago. Now your dad is past earthly suffering and with his Creator. You have your wonderful memories of your time with him, to cherish forever.
