These include rebuilding frayed partnerships in the Middle East and pressuring allies in Europe to invest more in their own defenses; no leader across the Atlantic should be left with any doubt about US expectations of what they need to do to strengthen NATO....[snip]

Undoubtedly, his remarks at the NATO headquarters could and should have been stronger, with a robust declaration in support of the Article 5 NATO commitment, support for further NATO expansion, and a clear warning to Vladimir Putin's Russia to keep out of the Baltic states.

But even absent those statements, Donald Trump did successfully hammer home the key message that all 28 members of the alliance must do more to invest in their own defense... [snip]

France's newly elected president, Emmanuel Macron, visibly smirked...

Congrats, President Trump! MAGA!

two-fer time - Egotistical little Macron thinks he's more important than America.

"In the interview, Macron compared his own handshake to his leadership posture. "One must show that we won't make little concessions, even symbolic ones," Macron said."

'It's not innocent'

Do you believe it? Macron thinks success is out-handshaking President Trump. Yup, that’s the key to saving France from German takeover and from ISIS.

Interesting note....the luxury hotel in Sicily where the Summit was held at was once a Dominican monastery and base for the 'Nazi air force' during World War Two.

Since Merkels been the big honcho she thought and wanted to leave the summit with the G-7 agenda endorsed by everyone....I think that all the members there understand that Trump fully underscored his determination to break the global mold and that things were not going to just move along as usual....just as he had been showing from the get go of this remarkable Tour.

Furthermore Merkel had already gone groveling into Putins arms ,after she got the cold shoulder from Trump in her visit here, and just a couple weeks before the summit.

Also Merkel wanted endorsement by everyone so she could show she remained the 'Leader' of the pack...but from the get go Trump showed clearly that he was... and consistently irritated her even further...

We know who was leader of the pack.....US is back!
