I feel like that kid in the movie Quiz Show, unable to believe his hero did wrong. But deep down, there is no avoiding it.
It has been an object lesson, for me, about being careful who we ascribe virtue to.
The Cos has one way out.

Not necessarily; there is a lot of shame and hopelessness involved.
Many of the victims probably figured that they were the only ones that this happened to, so no one would believe them anyway.
Even if they were women who slept around, which they probably did, who would take their word over Bill Cosby's? I wouldn't have. Who knew? It's just so damned disappointing, to say the least.
On the other hand, maybe these purported victims have been paid to bring down an icon of virtue. Doesn't he espouse Conservative views?
True but it’s a very big if.
No he is or was a die hard dim but did speak out against the culture of the ghetto which ruffled some feathers.
The left threw Cosby overboard and worked for his downfall (45 year old rape charges) when he told the truth about education.
