But given the large amount of hearsay and conspiracy theories surrounding the case, maybe it’s time for the police department to be more forthcoming with information regarding the investigation and to update the people of Washington, D.C. on the status of the case,’ said Brad Bauman, a spokesperson for Rich’s family.

At this point I expect them to find the killer.
He’ll be a homeless person with a history of violence and no family or friends who can vouch for where he was that night. Nobody will miss him as he’s sent away for the next 15-20 years.

How many robbers you know get 3 out of 3 in the shot department and then don’t bother to rifle the pockets?

The cops failed to collect all the evidence, preserve the evidence, interview people at the bar, etc. etc.
That big a failure to perform even basic tasks, suggests imho a desire NOT to find the killers.
