A Moreno Valley man went in for a green card, but was deported instead

Ramon Ruiz Ortiz of Moreno Valley went to San Bernardino’s U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services office at 10 a.m. May 11 to interview for a green card giving him permanent residency. By 7 p.m., he’d been deported to Tijuana.

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, or ICE, officials said he applied using a false name and that he had been removed previously and then had returned here illegally, making him ineligible for a green card, according to ICE.

Now, his family and an attorney representing the Mexican Consulate in San Bernardino are trying to figure out what happened to the man they describe as a hard-working husband and father with no criminal record. They contend he should not have been deported.

He and his family insist he is who he says he is.

Right after he was deported, Ruiz and his family believed that previous contact with Customs and Border Protection in 1999 is what led to his deportation, said attorney Hadley Bajramovic, who represents the Mexican Consulate in San Bernardino. Ruiz was aware of this, but a different attorney told him it wouldn’t pose problems.

But on Thursday, May 18, ICE issued a statement painting a different picture. The agency said Ruiz attempted to fraudulently obtain lawful permanent residence under an assumed name. An ICE official declined to say what they think his real name is, citing privacy concerns.

However, a May 11 U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services document detailing why Ruiz’s application to register for permanent residence was denied calls him Ramon Ruiz Ortiz.

Yeah, well, maybe Ruiz (if that's his REAL name) oughta get another attorney to sue that attorney who told him using a fake name wouldn't pose problems.

Besides, what do they mean they want to know what happened to him. It says right there in the story. They kicked his ass out for using a fake name.

Sheesh. Do I have to explain EVERYthing?

Anyone else see the logical disconnect here? On the one hand, he had been in trouble with ICE before, using an alias, which is against the law. And then on the other hand, they say he has no criminal record. So which is it? Didn’t he violate the law, and thus have a criminal record, due to his illegally using an alias before?

Notice how our below average intelligence journalists (a study just showed this, Google it) just love to find some harm in those violating our laws get justice. This is a change from Dorkbama the Muslim eunuch;s laughable Department of Just-Us’s juvenile unqualified leadership.

Social Justice Warriors just hate it when justice is done. It threatens their view of modern society in which everything is “whatever”.

Dennisw turned us onto this........illegals think Americans are dumb, that they can come into the US, can use several names to loot the taxpayers......and get away ith it.

The pity is they did get away with it under that half-caste Royal Idiot.

“He should be allowed to present those applications before an immigration judge,” she said.

Judge not needed to deport a previous deportee who is back illegally.

“To me it’s unbelievable,” Bajramovic said. “We have a man who is trying to do the right thing. The family is now torn apart.”

commendable, but doing the right thing includes taking the consequences for the wrong things.

This story really upsets me. Only ONE deportation and it took them 9 hours to get get it done! We need to be more efficient.

The 1986 amnesty was over 3 times the size they told us it would be because there was so much fraud used.
We cannot tell who these people really are and most have used multiple names and fraudulent documents.

Remove them all.

The only President that even half way tried enforcement since the last amnesty was Bill Clinton.
