President Donald Trump is under fire after an explosive report in the New York Times quoted a memo from former FBI Director James Comey indicating Trump had asked him to cease the federal investigation into Michael T. Flynn. The memo was allegedly penned after a meeting Comey had with Trump in February, with Comey writing in the memo afterwards that Trump said “I hope you can let this go,” in regards to the Flynn investigation. The meeting occurred the day after Flynn resigned.
The usual chorus of Democrats (i.e. all of them) are calling for impeachment in response to the news, but even a Republican representative is for the first time as well (under the condition that the claims turn out true): Justin Amash.
However, if the Times were hoping to use Comey as a pawn to take down Trump – they’ve shot Comey in the foot in the process. Contradicting Comey’s memo is none other than Comey himself – under oath.
Former FBI Director James Comey testified under Senate oath May 3rd that the Trump administration had not pressured his agency to halt any investigation for political purposes. Comey admitted that the FBI has always been free to operate without political interference—flying in the face of Democrats’ paranoid delusions about Russia and President Donald J. Trump, and exposing for what it is a new political witch hunt Wednesday by enemies within the president’s own Justice Department.

The problem is the people let the Libs get away with stuff like this all the time. Obama, Hillary, Bill C., Reid, Piglosi, et al have done things that are flagrant crimes and/or abuses of the system. No one bothers to correct them. Rino’s want their money so they kiss ass. Somewhere, someone has to arrest and convict one of these Libs. That will put a swift end to this BS.

He can write up a memo today that says Trump TOLD him to quit the investigation and sexually harassed him when he said no. This “memo” smells like the “dossier” on Trump......LIES!!!
The sleaziest, most dishonest, backstabbing person I ever had the misfortune of working with made frequent use of “memos to file”. Such memos can have legitimate uses, but what I’ve witnessed of them, they were most always CYA memos by someone with something to hide, and also a setup to try and blame some innocent person if higher ups ever decided to investigate questionable matters that had gone wrong.
Actually, it’s not a “memo”, it’s this creeps diary entry because he is so enamored with himself he was hoping to strike it rich when he wrote a book after his 10 year term.
Unfortunately he was a flamboyant flop who flunked out and failed at his job.
Trumps alleged quote is innocuous at best and did it ever occur to anyone that this pleasantry by Trump about someone he just had to fire was not 100% heart felt at the time? I could picture saying something like that to a federal investigator about my worst enemy.
I have another question. Until we see the complete memo, why was he even having a conversation with Trump about Flynn?
How can you doubt the veracity of Comey’s memo? It was typed on an IBM Selectric typewriter.

Wondering if he backdated it with a Postal stamp from ‘80. Just like Obama’s Selective Service Application/Registration. What are the odds there is one stamp with a missing “19” let alone two of them.
Not for nothing. But if I were FBI director, I would write everything said down as well. I can’t fault him. On the other hand people do write lies in diaries all the time.

At every Trump closed-door meeting, I’d insist that each participant is scanned, and all electronic devices removed and stored in a secure location away from any possibility of recording anything. Trump simply cannot trust most anyone, until this all gets sorted out.

Sorry, but that’s not nearly enough, since there are obviously human leakers. It would be better to polygraph all WH staff, and then work your way over to NSC, CIA, NSA, State Dept., etc. Just the mere announcing of a future polygraph exam might cause one or more staffers to quit. I doubt anyone outside the CIA knows how to beat a polygraph (only 2 ways).
It would be easier to charge Comey under the “wiretapping laws”. Doesn’t matter if he is head of FBI. He can’t record the POTUS without his permission. I am sure DOJ has all the records when they cleaned out Comey’s office. Now start charging someone. Does anyone think these false allegations will continue if people start being charged. Very costly. Lawyers are salivating. Just think. DC Swamp is mostly lawyers.
But would you record either a fabrication or a crime that you were unwilling to report?
Perhaps Trump warned Comey not to give credence to MSM witch-hunts for Comey’s benefit.
