Most qualified man to hold the position of SoS? What sort of cool-aid are you drinking?

If you haven’t noticed, Condi has been making multiple media appearances plumping Tillerson after she had originally recommended him to Trump. (What Trump was doing taking Condi’s advice is another question.)

And you can not like the source if you don’t want to, but Stone has an incredibly good record on this sort of inside info:

Of the named candidates, this guy (Michael John Garcia) looks pretty good.

I would have to agree. Garcia has several attributes going for him:

1) The optics of his surname,

2) His results as a prosecutor with terrorists as defendants.

3) His ties to New York, and

4) His overall judicial history.

His success in the courtroom means he was able to navigate the tricky issues of pulling solid admissible evidence from the murky cloud of information that law enforcement is able to generate.

The old saying is that law enforcement is the best at collecting information, but the worst at knowing what to do with it all.

Evidence the developing unmasking actions that are only just now being revealed.

I know you feel superior to any black woman and especially one connected to W, but I spoke of Tillerson.

His achievement and ability exceed tour comprehension.

Pick McCain...and then fire him.

You have found a way for trump to get some tangible results. However, it might be just a tad too blatant /sarc

Well, your husband would be better than McCabe.

Open any phone book, pick a name and you would get a better result.

There is within the Bureau a culture that is unique to the Bureau. It was probably cultivated best by J. Edgar himself.

Within the Hoover building, there exists a culture that the director and assistant directors are little gods.

You witness it by the actions of the Section Chiefs and Unit Chiefs falling over themselves to please and follow every whim from the Director, as that is where the power lies.

I have been following George Webb, and years ago, he bumped into the ego of Andrew McCabe.

Good solid cops follow the evidence, follow the rules of evidence collection, follow criminal court procedures and most of all, follow the law.

A good cop investigates and develops evidence of what really happened.

Too often when a superior might express a certain theory about what might have happened, agents that are best described as lackeys begin an all out effort to prove the bosses theory. Proving the boss correct gets recognition and promotion.

Again, there is a culture, and for the average agent it starts at Quantico and is continually ingrained their entire career.

The other observation I made, most cops serve their city, their county, their state, their area of responsibility. Thus the public is their customer. For the bureau, they have one customer - Congress, the source of their funding. All actions flow from the need to impress Congress and grow their funding.

“Knowing Trump it could be both: Name the candidate to the interim post and the permanent director as well and prepare for battle in the Senate.”

10:1 McLinda vote against.

What the hell kind of baseless accusation of racism is that? That attitude doesn’t belong on this board.

And Tillerson with zero experience in government or diplomacy before taking his position. But more important than “achievement” is the policies he advocates and executes upon. That is the issue.

I would guess he’d have personal interviews to get a feel for chemistry between him and the candidates. A list of names of acceptable people is one thing. One-on-one personal interaction is something else.

Yeah but he could always step down for health reasons later. I knew he wasn’t a young man but didn’t know his exact age. Too bad he doesn’t want it, I’ll bet he could take care of the Clinton scams.

Just like Darrell Issa. Been calling him out for years.

The other “mature” candidate is NYPD Commissioner Ray Kelly who is even older at 75, so I guess we should pick the best irrespective of age and deal with any problems connected with aging as a secondary issue. The fact is, some folks are “old” at 50, and others are still “young” at 80. The only place where being young is an important up-front asset is the SCOTUS picks. Gorsuch is not only an excellent pick, he’s only 49. Trump needs all his picks to be in that age range as a bulwark against the RATs, should they have the Presidency again any time soon. If Trump can be president for eight years, he can materially affect the country for a couple of generations if he gets us good justices

Yeah.

Looks like Rudy is out of the question but I’ll bet he could do more in 3 years on The Clinton Crime Machine than the nothing that has been done. I remember Ray Kelly.

I’d like to see guys like this get in, get started and then hand-pick their own successors with a recommendation to the President.

I say nuke the next one (hopefully two) SC judges and the Democrats can all go on MSNBC and have crying fits.

To answer my own question about kirkland & ellis lawyers connected to the xlintonista regime & whitewater:

Whitewater special prosecutor, Kenneth Starr was from kirkland & Ellis.

Neil Eggleston, who served as bubba’s white house legal counsel (he also served for obammy too) was a K & E lawyer.

Kirkland & Ellis has a big white collar criminal defense division in their huge law firm & Eggleston also successfully defended xlintonista regime transpotation sec, federica pena & labor secretary alexis herman from charges.

So, how would another kirkland & ellis lawyer, michael garcia fit in to the whole scheme of things as trump’s man to head the FBI???

Agree. You can always tell the phonies by their obsession with varying hairstyles...always mugging for the cameras (remember Joe Scarborough)

Tillerson walking back on climate change and promise to move our embassy to Jerusalem.

We didn’t elect Jeb Bush.
