... I was surprised to see this subject addressed in the almost unknown 2016 Matthew McConaughey movie .... "The Free State of Jones."
... I actually thought it was quite a Good and educational movie. And was shocked at the anti Democrat stance that this post Civil War movie takes ... including the origin of the formation of the KKK. Something you just don't see in any product coming out of uber Liberal Hollywood.

Not only was there intimidation in the Jim Crow South BY democrats, but they also made people who wanted to register to vote to take tests... the test for white democrats was easy - ‘name who's President’ the ‘test’ for blacks would require a law degree...
In ‘64 the Freedom Summer - was the pinnacle of Jim Crow hatred... three civil rights workers in Mississippi registering blacks to vote were murdered by White Citizens Council types - an unofficial democrat organization...

Unfortunately, there is a lot about black history which is unknown. That’s a shame because a lot of history we know is all wrong.

Not upset at all, snowflake. Some us can’t do youtube so we have no idea what the mysterious thing is that happened. Very common on FR. From the excerpt it seems blacks committed some voter fraud.

Are you annoyed because I excerpted the comments from the original video creator, or could it be the programmers at Free Republic have gotten on your wrong side?
