It’s a matter of understanding their motivation. If the Crotchety Old Media had been wanting to encourage Trump to do something stupid, they might have tried to coax him into a trap. But in this case — the deed was done and they were completely invested in damaging him.
I believe the purpose of this poll was a warning cry to their fellow leftists — “The voters aren’t buying it. Pull back and regroup.”

Very interesting thought. Someone posted here a while back that Trump plays chess while the rest play checkers...
He said under oath that he was never pressured on the Flynn matter, then somehow a memo from an “unnamed source” appears ... makes no sense. Well, actually it does.
The swamp is deep and thick. Trump needs our prayers, if for nothing else than his strength and health.

OMG, yes you are right. It happens here in Canada. Foreigners come here for “free” health care...while those Canadians who can afford it travel to the U.S. for better health care.
My dad passed a year ago; I visited him frequently. The hospital, nursing home, were modern, well-appointed, looked nice and clean and taken care of.
OTOH, the hospital where I had to go, in Quebec, looks like something out of the fifties. Dingy, old...there is no money to update the facilities.
If single-payer is instituted, look for a flood of people crossing to the U.S. from the north as well. You make an excellent point.
The sheer number of people who must be driven from public life is far larger than I imagined even a year ago.
It’s almost equal to the number of federal, state, and local employees, appointed officials, and elected officials.
