The solution is not more government meddling in our personal medical decisions. The solution is to permit us the freedom to buy catastrophic coverage only - “major medical” policies. I want medical insurance for crises that cost over $5k or perhaps over $10k, not for shots and sniffles. It’s the same as car insurance, which covers a crash but not an oil change or gas. When we put every tiny little charge through insurance, that raises the costs of every small service. When we prepay for everything, that removes any financial incentive to reduce frivolous visits to the doctor.
Obamacare was a huge leap in the wrong direction. I want to repeal Obamacare, and replace it with freedom.
Here's a chart that explains a great deal.
Imho, anyway.
Warren Buffett is a tapeworm who held back the economy by bribing obama so he could haul oil in his train vs others able to deliver it at much reduced cost by pipeline.
It’s not just government involvement driving healthcare costs up. There are cartels and trusts in US healthcare. That is enabled somewhat by gov’t intrusion, but it’s a seperate problem in its own right, and needs to be addressed.
Not a huge fan of Buffett, but he’s right to point out that all of our productivity gains over the past 20 years have been siphoned off by the medical (and education) cartels.
