PING!
(Borrowed from another FReeper)
Can’t wait to hear Rush today on Comey.
I wonder if Rush will have any Comey News?
HaHaHa
I was up late, and Colbert was on. So I watched, after putting on protective gear for the expected cranial deflagration.
HaHaHa again.
He’s on late here, but taped the show just barely after the firing, so he did not have the talking points. So he said he would have more tomorrow.
HaHaHa
Did I say I’m in a Winning Mood?
Here is what I just posted on another thread:
I would argue that those of us who do not want to see the Trump momentum derailed adopt the most pragmatic response to both the predictable hand-wringing of anti-Trump Republicans & the crocodile tears of the forked tongue Democrats like Chuck Schumer, over the firing of Director Comey.
The distracting hoopla, being orchestrated in major part by Trump haters in the mass media, is absolutely inconsistent with very crucial efforts to defang the North Korean Government, before something happens that could lead to literally millions of deaths, both in South Korea & Japan, as well as--God Help us!--from an attack on the American Grid.
What is significant in this juxtaposition of the hoopla over the Comey firing & the Korean situation is this. Donald Trump in one month has accomplished infinitely more in addressing the North Korean threat, than his three predecessors in 24 years! Please let that soak in. Consider the level of the Chinese involvement on our side as the evidence.
What variety of idiot or self-promoter wants to undermine Donald Trump's influence overseas, at this moment in history, by stirring up a fire-storm over the firing of an office-holder, whose conflicting actions have been widely criticized, in recent months, on both sides of the political aisle? Let us not play the media game. Let us focus on what this half-cocked firestorm is undermining, and set these disgusting opportunists, with a highly destructive agenda, back on their heels.

Rush is killing it today!
Look for the talk radio folks to RUN with this.
Rush said she has been laughing since last night.
Me too.
HaHaHaHaHa
And the next day Trump admin met with ... RUSSIANS!
HaHaHaHa
Trump has to be made to realize that it is all connected. If he gives up ground here, and then there (think immigration control, then Obamacare repeal, then tax reform, then the wall), then pretty soon he will run out of battlegrounds to make a stand on.
If Trump appears to be weakened by losses to his own party at home, then our enemies in Iran and North Korea won't take his threats seriously because they will think they can outlast him by waiting for his party to undermine and remove him before too long.
This is why Trump must stand his ground here, and now.

Shucks. Just tuned in - Mets game again and I’m on Tune In.
I basically agree with you. But because of the baggage in Congress, represented by Republicans still intimidated by the PC crowd, Trump has to maintain some flexibility to get the best temporary deals that he can. The problems are really very complex—that is in cobbling together the most votes he can.
When Trump said that "Comey told him three times that he wasn't being investigated," he was probably referring to Comey's own testimony before the House of Representatives when he said several times that Trump was not being investigated.

Patrick Fitzgerald also successfully diverted blame away from Obama selling his Senate seat and onto Rod Blagojevich and Jesse Jackson, Jr., thereby protecting the incoming President from his first scandal.

Now, under President Obama, people were surveilled, maybe legally, maybe illegally, and their identities were revealed, mostly illegally. Comey could have known this. I hope President Trump approached Comey and ordered him to do the following:
1. Tell me who ordered the surveillance of me, my campaign staff, congressional personnel, and other American citizens.
2. Tell me who did the surveillance.
3. Tell me who ordered the unmasking of the names of people who surveilled.
4. Tell me who leaked the information.
If Comey knew any of this information, and he refused to divulge it, it was insubordination and that was reason enough to terminate his employment.
