Victory in Europe’ came 72 years ago today...The war started by Germany was finally over after 6 years of bloodshed. Approx 382,700 members of the British Armed Forces and 67,100 British civilians lost their lives in the battle to bring freedom to Europe. The war literally left the UK bankrupt, but we didn’t complain....we then spent many years helping to feed, house and re-settle the millions of European refugees....and we helped to re-build Germany and many other European countries.....yet just 72 years later, they stand united against us, vowing to ‘punish’ the UK for daring to stand against them. Our crime is simply our desire to remain a sovereign country.....yet 72 years ago, our independence was the only hope they had left....oh, how quickly they forget.

Why do it?
