A conservative columnist who was suspended by the St. Louis Post-Dispatch after she defended the National Rifle Association from comparisons to ISIS fired back with her resignation and a series of targeted tweets. The newspaper on Friday suspended Stacy Washington after a column entitled Guns and the Media disputed an anti-NRA article that argued since more Americans die from guns than from ISIS, the Second Amendment advocacy group is the greater danger. [W]hen has a member of the NRA ever decapitated, set on fire, tossed from a rooftop or otherwise terrorized another American? The linkage is not only rife with improper context; it is false on its face, Washington wrote in her column, which also decried the lack of conservatives in U.S. newsrooms. This failure to represent the opposing, especially conservative, view is an increasingly apparent deficit in the news reporting apparatus in our country. The St. Louis Post-Dispatch asserts that Washington was not suspended for the views expressed in her column, but for failing to disclose her promotional work and professional affiliation with the NRA. Washington has appeared several times as a co-host and commentator on Cam & Company on NRA TV and contributed to an NRA documentary in August 2016. However, she has never been paid by the NRA. Her active promotional activities and professional association with the National Rifle Association represented an unacceptable conflict of interest in her most recent column, which resulted in our suspension of her work, Tod Robberson, the Post-Dispatchs editorial page editor, wrote in a response to Washingtons suspension and quitting.

Apparently they are.
Yet it is acceptable for their political reporters and other employees to make contributions to Democrat politicians without being unduly influenced. If they suspended this woman, then they should prohibit any employee associated with the newspaper from making political contributions to any party.
regardless, they are going to end up writing a big check to this woman.
because they will never agree to go to court and have the opposing lawyer drill them on how many white guys belong to organizations that they write about
I don’t think Stacy plans to pursue this. She seems to be the type of person who will shake the dust off her feet as testimony against them and move. She did just fine before the Post-Disgrace invited her to be a columnist and she’ll do just fine now.
And deserving of support.
The St. Louis Dispatch is one of the most disgusting, liberal rags on the the face of the earth.
The covered up and colluded with the Black Lives Terrorist so much that when one of their photographers was attacked and beaten and robbed of his equipment I thought nothing more than, “that’s the least you deserved for covering up for what these terrorists are doing in St. Louis!”
NAMBLA threatened to sue those people if they didn't retract the slur. 😀
A black, assault columnist. I like her!
I call it the “Past Disgust”.

I hope she hires an ugly, greedy, experienced litigator.
The kind you fish out of a sewer with a wad of rotten chicken necks and 100 dollar bills tied to a string! :-)
The St. Louis Post Dispatch has been “afraid” of the truth since it had Richard Dudman cover the Indochina war and coverup the truth about communist aggression.
The man was not on our side nor the side of the truth. I was there.
Beautiful, independent thinking black women are not allowed on the Left, but I love them!
Hopefully another paper will pick her and get her out of that lost town.
