I feel for you. When I tried getting insurance after having been diagnosed with Crohns disease years before, and with it being in remission, I was only able to find one insurance company willing to insure me, but it was going to cost double my monthly income.

I offered to sign a waver, so that Crohns would NOT be covered, so I'd have insurance if I were in an auto accident, or run over by a bus. I was told they couldn't do it.

Luckily, I was hired by a company that offered insurance several years, and after a 6 month exclusionary period, I was finally granted coverage.

I realize how bad it can be for people with chronic conditions, or self employed when trying to get coverage.

Good luck with that. Perhaps the states and charitable organizations could make the appropriate outlays. Federal debt is over $20 trillion; they don’t have the money.
