No path. Trump will veto anything even close to that.

BTW, if this is really about background checks, why do they always need the serial number of the gun?

So, do tombstone and mansion both have big ole checks from nannie bloomers stickin’ out of their back pockets? Or a promise for a position on one of his groups?

Instead of a “background check” on the buyer that includes:

- manufacturer
- model
- serial number
- type
- caliber/gauge

How about we do a background check on the buyer alone, with no information about the firearm. No? That is all that is really needed for a background check, but the anti-freedom left demands more. Is that because their checks are intended to produce a de facto firearms registry? I thought so.

My preference? No background check at all. If you want to buy a gun, you go to the local gun dealer, hardware store, Sears, or just about any other store that wants to sell guns, and you buy the gun you want. No restrictions on silencers. No restrictions on “short barreled rifles”, not when I can buy a pistol in rifle caliber. No restrictions on “sawed-off shotguns”, not when I can buy a pistol in .410 or even 12 gauge. Gun restrictions haven’t made us safer, so let’s repeal those useless infringements on the rights of law-abiding citizens.

And if someone prohibited from owning firearms buys a gun, then that person is breaking the law and should be sent to prison. That is, of course, in the unlikely event that liberals will permit the laws they push for to be enforced against criminals and not just against productive Americans.

Toomey has been and will always be a Globalist traitor. Guess he doesn't know that everyone at a gunshow undergoes a background check-there are no exemptions . Private sale of long arms is legal in PA, but can be anywhere, not just at a show.Dealers are not allowed to do private sales. Long guns hardly factor in crime at all. Internet sales are shipped to a dealer, not the buyer, and of course go through a background check.
The larger Globalist government types want to ban all private sales so that everything must go through the government, and thus tracked. Perhaps not the item you are buying, but you yourself are tracked.

Speaking to gun-safety group

Rush Limbaugh has often said "words mean things." The left understands this concept very well. They've figured out that the term "Gun Control" is not something that is embraced by the majority of people in this country, so more and more, they are using the term "Gun Safety" instead. Same agenda, new name. (After all, who could be opposed to "safety?")

Where can you buy a gun online or at a gun show without a background check?

Online - in-state sale between individuals as long as state law does not say otherwise.

Gun show - sale between individuals, neither one holding an FFL where there would be a background check requirement. Also, again as long as state law does not say otherwise.
