Gowdy: Congress May Subpoena Susan Rice to Testify About Unmasking If Necessary
Washington Free Beacon ^ | May 4, 2017 | Andrew Kugle

Posted on 05/04/2017 2:38:38 PM PDT by detective

Rep. Trey Gowdy (R., S.C.) told Fox News on Thursday morning that Congress may subpoena Barack Obama's former national security adviser, Susan Rice, to testify about unmasking Trump transition officials.

Rice declined an invitation to testify next week before a Senate subcommittee on Russian interference in the 2016 presidential campaign. Republicans have asked Rice to appear before lawmakers after reports revealed last month that she requested on several occasions the identities of "masked" U.S. persons in intelligence reports linked to President Trump's transition and campaign.

"Members of Congress don't pick the witnesses. Lawyers don't pick witnesses. The facts pick the witnesses," Gowdy said. "And whether Ambassador Rice likes it or not, she's a really important fact witness."

The Benghazi Basenji (ie a dog that won’t bark)?

Sorry, Gowdy, you’ve exhausted your credibility with your lack of results.

A Perfect job for Gowdy, now he hide and bury the evidence in this case just like he did in all the others. I think there are many members in the Republican Leadership that knew about this and were involved, which would explain why Gowdy is being brought in to clean it up.

I’d rather see a water board come out than a subpoena.

Start the process for all of them. People forget if it wasn't for Gowdy, we wouldn't have found out about Hillary's server when he requested her emails in the Benghazi hearings.

Start with Susan Rice, Rhodes, Huma, Cheryl Mills, Hillary, Obama - subpoena them all and get the data out. Details will come out such as Hillary's server. The more data the better. I assume the FBI is investigating them all. We shall see. This criminality has to stop! The precedent has to be set for future generations.

Another waste of time and money. There are dozens of corrupt politicians walking around who should have been arrested, tried and put in jail.

Like all the other corrupt bastards, she will skate the law, and still collect a $200,000 annual salary for the rest of her life. It's pathetic.

Yeah, whatever.

Subpoena her.

Then, when she testifies before congress under oath and lies about everything and commits perjury, nothing will ever come of it. She’ll walk away scot-free into the arms of her MSM adorers.

Exactly, Gowdy has a track record of the same.
He’ll produce some good bites, but nothing else.

Gowdy’s trying like anything to get his mojo back....but it’s not working.

Says he “may” subpoena Rice? Oh, please.....with all we’ve got on this rodent-faced Obamanation, Gowdy’s saying “pretty please.”

He caved in to Hillary and let her skate on Benghazi. That was unforgiveable. Rice is just dying to get to his committee.....Hillary’s giving her pointers on finishing off Gowdy.
