Everything else aside, Bill has great political instinct, and he would have known all along that Hillary doesn’t have what it takes, Could she have won against another plastic imitation of a human being like McCain or Jeb? Sure, but once Bill saw what was happening with the Trump Movement he would have known it was all over for her.

Maybe. But it's easy looking back to add up the few moments when one might have had an inkling of what was going on, and claim that one understood the whole thing.

I suspect Bill was too out of it to form very many complex ideas. He might have noticed just how poorly attended the Clinton rallies were, but did he really think his wife might not win?
