My daughter graduated Carleton last year, so I know of what you speak. Northfield is like the “Cambridge” of MN. The commencement speaker was Chris “tingles” mathews.
Real shame, as Northfield is a liberal island in a sea of Conservatism. Just outside of town, you see pro-Life billboads, R political signs, etc.
There are tons of “Minnesotans of Color” in the Minneapolis/St Paul area. In addition to a large urban black population (I believe Minnesota actively recruited blacks from the slave states after the civil war), they have a growing Somalian population (not sure why), and a large oriental population (not sure why).
I believe most of the blacks in Minneapolis arrived from Chicago in 1970’s-80’s. The Somali were recruited by Lutheran and Catholic Charities later.

There was no investigation of these notes and who might be leaving them. Instead there was this huge protest that blamed the entire college for instutionalized racism. I too suspicion a hoax possibly even done by accusers.
I don’t really care, the colleges and universities sired, birthed, and nourished these animals. Let them live with them.
My daughter is a St. Olaf alumnae, from the first decade of this century. We watched it change significantly over her four years, becoming more left wing and more pc each year, especially in the humanities, such as English. Music was still great. I think Anderson has done well at fundraising and at getting better recognition for the college, but he seems a total PC twit, a real “little ivy” “wannabe” of the worst sort. Our family has consistently supported the college financially, but after the post election threats to conservative students, we cut off support and told them why. This only reinforces it. Really a pity, it was a fine college. Um Ya Ya... :(

Olaf II Haraldsson, later known as St. Olaf, was King of Norway from 1015 to 1028.
He was posthumously given the title Rex Perpetuus Norvegiae (English: Eternal/Perpetual King of Norway) and canonised in Nidaros (Trondheim) by Bishop Grimkell, one year after his death in the Battle of Stiklestad in 1030.

Olaf was a Viking warrior and became a symbol of national independence and pride.
He was inclined to violence and brutality and fought in many battles, slaying many of his rivals and enemies.

The colleges teach nothing useful. To keep themselves in business they make deals with Democrats who raise Pell grant money and other federal dollar give aways so the brainless students think they are going for free. The colleges open unisex showers dorms and restrooms to keep male students coming. They then kick out any male who gets lucky with a girl who changes her mind. Where do they differ from organized crime? I taught college in three different schools for 16 years and found they were basically all the same; and when I said so once too often I was shown the door.

Nonsense. YOU run the school not the student. You tell them to disperse, they don;t you call the police and have them arrested. End of the problem. Does no one have a spine anymore?
My old small conservative university has also gone to the wayside. Far too many liberal gay profs with agendas. Their pictures look like something out of a high school year book.
