We should have compassion for those who are exhibiting the symptoms of Alzheimer. If her family really cared about her, they’d probably secure her in a ‘memory unit’ of a care facility.

Yep. Senile Dementia is my first thought. Alzheimer is different but most people think of them as being alike.
I doubt she’s driven a car herself in 30 years. The chauffeur does that.
