At what point is this child neglect? I have to say many mothers today are more a threat to the natural development of their children then they are mothers.......but then they so often agree to abortions so oooo given that in their minds anything goes.

Wonderful story. So true of boys. My neighbor boy and my son used to take neighbor boy’s sister’s Barbies and use them as rockets with the appropriate fireworks.

My son and kissing trucks. We were in a parking lot one day, he was holding my finger, he was about 2 to 2 and a half, and we were walking to the store and he saw a truck. He stopped and I let him lead me around it. We got back to the front, and he looked at me, all curls and big eyes and said in is low little voice, “Can I kiss it?”
I say “Sure.”
He kissed the bumper.

He occasionally kissed other truck bumpers while still a toddle. I used to stand there in the parking lot looking nonchalant as my son kissed trucks.

I love him so much.

I grew up watching the incredible talent of Rudolf Nureyev. When he defected in the 60s, it was a big deal.

Jamie Wyeth has a famous series of paintings of Nureyev at Brandywine, in Chadds Ford [worth a trip from anywhere]

Oh, yes, I have heard of Projectile Barbie. :)

Too adorable with the truck kissing.

Little boys are wonderful. I have so many wonderful memories of my sons as little guys. And, now that I have 4 grandsons, I have so many memories come back when I am with the little boys. Just had the 4 of them for 5 days right before Easter. It was great. Exhausting but great.

Ed ‘Too Tall’ Jones (Dallas Cowboy in the mid 70s into the 80s) took ballet in the off season. He attributed his agility and ability to jump so high from a standing position, as well as his coordination, to ballet.
He was 6’9”, and also boxed.
Good ol’ #72

“... there’s nothing wrong learning to dance and interact with the opposite sex... mom’s framing of the situation to girl up her son is just sick.”

Thumbs up! Why is anyone letting sickos co-opt DANCE of any kind?
