Student leaders wrote an open letter demanding that Clemson University create an LGBTQ safe space on campus to rectify the school’s alleged callousness toward such students. In the letter, which was published in The Tiger, the coalition declares that “a permanent space must be allocated to the LGBTQ+ community” because “incoming LGBTQ+ and other underrepresented students enter campus with the deck stacked against them.”

Special treatment? In some countries they kill those people just for being queer. They should be thankful all they get here are occasional looks of disapproval. Personally, I think this whole alphabet victim thing is a trend. Cool, in the way emo kids think they are cool. If society reverts to holding deviants in contempt some of this may change.
A permanent space for LGBTQ peoples??? Why?? So it makes it easier to “hook up”???? Why does a specific group need a “safe space”? What’s up with this “safe space” business anyway?? Aren’t these liberal colleges and universities all safe; shouldn’t the entire campus already be a “safe space” since these colleges are all run by liberals in first place???
