Texas Takes Action on Sanctuary Cities
Rush Limbaugh.com ^ | April 28, 2017 | Rush Limbaugh

RUSH: You see what Texas is doing with sanctuary cities? Folks, this is magnificent. Texas is not waiting. They’re just declaring sanctuary cities illegal, and if they have to, they are saying they’re going to jail police chiefs and sheriffs who refuse to enforce the law. They are through. They’re not gonna take it anymore.

We have some hand wringers out there in the blogosphere wondering if this is maybe not going a bit far. “Jailing police chiefs and sheriffs? Maybe there’s a better way but maybe Texas knows what it’s doing. We’ll just have the to wait and see,” blah, blah. They are serious about it. (interruption) Well, because in many of these sanctuary cities, the police department sabotage the ICE, the immigration officials who are trying to enforce the law.

In many of these sanctuary cities, the local police department and the sheriffs are sympathetic to the leadership of the city. San Francisco is a glaring example, and it’s true in Texas, too. If you go place like Austin (chuckles), there is no way the City of Austin is going to willingly give up its sanctuary city status — or a city like Austin. So the governor, Governor Abbott, says (paraphrased), “To hell with it. We’re gonna enforce this law. It’s against the law to have sanctuary cities, and if you run one and you will not participate in ridding your city of illegal residents, we’ll put you in jail.”

At least THIS time we won’t have the United States of America’s Attorney General suing them like they did Arizona and Alabama a few years back when they attempted to control their states ILLEGAL ALIEN problems.

The real battle here is turning Texas blue, for the dictatorial left, so they can dominate in the Electoral College every presidential election with illegals overwhelming the system.

Great to hear the the good People of Texas wants nothing to do with that and are putting up a good battle against the evil doers. We need to continue this battle everywhere.

Texas has the beginnings of what eventually took California down.

All it’s large cities are sanctuaries and they have large, expanding populations ( can you say LA and San Francisco). But worse yet for Texas, they have a gaggle of “Mexican run” counties along their southern border which is way, way longer than is CA’s. From the last election results, it looks as though now those counties are at least two deep from the Rio Grande and solidly RAT (actually Mexican RAT). So just how long do you think the rest of “conservative rural” Texas can hold off this onslaught? Plus, how do you “fence” the Rio Grande? At least CA has probably most of it’s border with Mexico fenced and It has only TWO counties that border Mexico one more if you go two deep (that’s three out of 58). If California cut off everything north of Los Angeles, we could have a conservative state even with SF and Sacramento. Just how does Texas separate itself from it’s “Mexican Counties?” All I can say to the good people of Texas is good luck, I hope you fair better than we have here in CA. White folks better get a whole lot better at procreating or the white race will be a goner in a century, unless we are successful at supplanting their sexual activities with televised sports.

Somehow “don’t mess with Texas” on the back of a Toyota Pickup is an oxymoron!
I thought Texans drove Fooords or Shivvies.

It will take more than just removing those illegal aliens caught and convicted of other crimes.
So far that is all anyone is talking about.

I've been saying this from the beginning. Don't mess with these people. Tell them if you don't want to enforce the laws on the books, we will consider you a criminal also. It's called RICO!

If I was police chief in NYC and I knew John Gotti was operating in my city, I'm obligated to do something about it. If an officer brings a mobster in and you let him out, you are as guilty as he is. Like the Batman movie, the bad guys owned the cops and the mayor. How is that legal or even desirable? I will be waiting for the first perp walk with some mayor that has been spouting off how Trump can't do anything in my city.

Frankly, Texas will handle it's own problems, but Sessions should "live" in San Francisco and Chicago. I would have fleets of trucks with "ICE" on the doors roaming the neighborhoods. When the mayors said something, bring them in for questioning. I'll bet they could prove payoffs by people like La Raza and others. I would consider a campaign check from La Raza as a bribe. Trump has a whole array of laws to choose from and it's plain to anyone that reads the law that they are breaking the law. One might say support from the NRA might be the same, but the 2nd Amendment is plainly LEGAL. If a check is written from Russia or Saudi Arabia, look at the fuss that is made about that. They are trying to jail Flynn for taking a check from Russia. They went after Scooter Libby just the same for nothing. These mayors are actually breaking the law. I'm sure we could come up with something if we just had the will. Putting Rahm Emanuel in jail would go a long way to get voluntary compliance from the others. Getting the illegal license records from California would make it quick to visit the massive amount of illegals in California. Pussy footing around will just make this issue last for years more till Trump is gone.

Texas had to comply with Civil Rights laws in the '60's with National Guard troops sent by Eisenhower or Kennedy as we claimed our states rights. For 8 years I listened to Obama was in charge of immigration so he could ignore the laws if he wanted to. Now the states are claiming states rights over Federal. You can't have it both ways.

BTW, it's the same for free speech. If Ann Coulter wants to speak at Berkley and it's considered "too dangerous" to allow it, Trump should activate the Nat Guard to assure her her ability to speak. It's called the First Amendment. These police chiefs that don't want to do their jobs need to be removed. My daughter is a cop and many times she is FORCED to guard speakers she doesn't like or agree with. But that's her JOB. She would salivate to be called to an Ann Coulter speech to beat the heads of a bunch of Fascist Anarchists. It would be a day at the park for her. She recently had to guard a BLM group wanting to start riots in her town. There she was keeping the peace while speakers less than a 100 yards away were yelling filth at the police.

We hear this constantly, that Texas will fall to the communists like California did. Texas was a confederate state, has a masculine tradition, with many Hispanics who love their state and their country. There is no San Francisco. No Oakland. No Berkeley. No Marin County. No tradition of a bunch of seascoast dwelling narcissistic bloodsuckers.

Texas has gotten more conservative since they voted for Ann Richards. Yes, they have Austin, but it’s as sane and wonderful a state as exists anywhere.

If Texas falls, we all will. Long live Texas.

Yeah, that's a huge other problem that runs deep in to this corrupt culture we have now. They were once the counter-culture and now they've had at least a half century to be firmly embedded in to our culture today.

It's going to take a cultural change where now freedom and liberty is the counter-culture. The lolbama administration was the cherry on top of the failure of statism in this country. That needs to be the forefront of the new counter-culture as well as the emphasis on what made America once great and that is the freedom and liberty Americans are supposed to enjoy, protected by our Constitution.

Americans need to learn that statism, in whatever form it takes, always fails, and America can be great again without it. Yeah, it's a tough road trying to fix but with President Trump and the anti-statist movement, it is a good start.

Agreed. The Left will not submit to the rule of law willingly. It is time to enforce the damn law!
