Follow the money.
Bet they didn’t tell you what they did with them.
Disagree. Safe disposal without introducing pharmaceuticals into the water supply makes far more sense than junking servicable vehicles.
I didn’t do it. I donated them to the oncology center where my wife was treated. They used some and disposed of the rest.
Knowing how our government works, I’d say there’s better than a 50% chance that the DEA is merely flushing them down their toilets.
Your photo fills me with a deep sadness, mitigated only by the thing called “Friday”.
I a have an old fridge in the garage, and all my old meds go into it, specifically the crisper drawers.
Lots and lots.
There’s no reason to part with them if I may have use for them later on.
Being frugal is a no brainer.
“When my wife died CVS wanted to charge me $25 a package,”

Another reason for me to detest CVS.
.
Because we all know we can trust the DEA to not make use of the information that they gather, or prosecute you for the technical violations.
“Thanks for handing in your granny’s expired pain killers. Since the prescription is in her name, we’ll have to arrest you for the felony of possessing them.”
This is not about unlawful or "recreational" substances, AFIK.
My husband is the kind of person that has to go through three or four medications in order to find one that (a.) works and (b.) does not have interesting side effects.
And just because this generic worked it does not follow that another generic will work but DAW is not permitted until it is shown that the generics do cause side effects.
That means that we generally have several bottles of stuff that he can not take floating around.
It is a bad idea to put this stuff in the garbage or flush it down the drain so we save it up and turn it in when they have one of these.
I agree that gun buy backs are silly and CFC was a waste but this program is actually useful.
