The devil is in the details. We don’t know whether it will increase the deficit or be revenue neutral and we won’t until they come out with all the changes.

Tax receipts INCREASE when tax rates decrease.

Then cutting the rate to zero should give us buckets of money.

yes, if you cut taxes and not spending, you will increase debt. Not rocket science.

Try taking an Econ 101 class sometime. The Laffer Curve is a very simple concept. Cutting taxes (and not spending) does NOT necessitate an increase in the debt. Cutting taxes can and often does increase revenues to DC.

Tax cuts are a cost.

Sure. Sure they are.

Imbeciles.

Let the Government worry about making ends meet for a change.......

They don't. Hence the $20 trillion in debt.

Funny how we never hear how much the spending resolutions “cost” in deficit spending

He needs to Tweet that the Dems and MSM are the “POOR MATH PARTY”.

Basic economics.

Democrats have no problem with deficits unless a Republican is in the White House and the Republicans have no problems with deficits unless a Democrat is in the White House.

Tax receipts INCREASE when tax rates decrease.
The economy increases when tax rates decrease. This reduces the need for government revenue (to Democrat politicians that's, a negative) and also reduces or eliminates the “cost” of the rate cut to the government.

Article V constitutional balanced budget amendment or our republic is lost.
A "balanced budget" amendment is IMHO a terrible idea. Far better to limit tax rates (in peacetime, at least), and limit spending to last year’s actual revenue.

Otherwise your amendment - far from being the salvation of the Republic - is a tax-rate-raising perpetual stagflation machine.

Story written by a liberal who doesn’t know his tax laws. He is dead wrong on this... they are saying a tax cut for the rich...dead wrong on that also... Anyone paying taxes would get a cut... and the left is lying to everyone to try to stall this tax cut. I am trying to think it through to why the dems/libs/progressives are so against a cut when it does not mean the government will receive less. Rush said today that the amount taken in by the government has been way above the norm... it’s huge.. and they will spend every dime of it instead of applying it to the debt and instead of wanting to give us all a tax cut. They don’t need all the tax money they rake in anyway... there is more than enough if they used it right... obama gave so much of it to the muslims... he gave them more than was ever reported at the time. Trump is going to have to do some of this by any means possible, because the dems are never going to cooperate with him, even if it’s for their good also.

The Congressional Budget Office can't see past the end of their nose. You prime the pump with millions of new taxpayers. (Not that the govt. couldn't easily do without those extra billions.)

Who remembers the old western episode in which the desert travelers always left behind a full bottle of water with which to prime the pump at the oasis for the next desperate-to-find-water traveler ? Drink the bottle of water and you can't prime the pump, rendering it useless. Prime the well with the bottle of water and it rewards you in spades and all who follow.

Trust it.
