No regrets, I mean the alternative was Hillary.
I am disappointed that he wants to continue protecting illegal aliens from our laws with the illegal DACA program.
It undermines all other efforts at enforcement.
It particularly undermines the argument about sanctuary cities doing the same.
No elected official should be protecting illegal aliens from our laws.

Starting with felons is fine, but we should never be signaling to the others that they can rest easy.

What has he dropped?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
DACA. Should have been ended already. This he could have done himself.
cba123 has issues with trade and the wall not having more progress, but these require Congress to cooperate, something they don’t seem to want to do.
1) Trade balance (currently on hold because of China’s help with North Korea.)
2) The Wall (very discouraged about that at the moment)
Like I said in another post. Maybe I will just stand down for several days.
I don’t ordinarily complain much.
Will see tomorrow. Maybe I am just having a bad day.
Patriots consequently perceive chaos.
........................................................
Gen. Patton once said combat was “an orgy of disorder.” He was comfortable with ambiguity. A great asset in a leader.
President Trump is in constant combat and seems to be handling the chaos and ambiguity quite well. Nice to have a Patton believer at the helm of the country. Soothes the nerves.
To be fair, the swamp draining is largely up to us, we have to Cantorize the weasels, Trump can’t.
Yup. Push-a-button mentalities. They Can’t understand that some things in this world are not instantaneous. They believe you just add water and stir, or pop it in the microwave, or push a button on a computer. Sometimes I wish I could send some of them back via time-travel to the Second WW when a lot of things were done the old fashioned way in order to survive.
He has to fight the Democrats, Academia, the Republicans the news media and Hollywood at every turn.
He’s doing great and people should have more patience with the big things.
The Wall? He says its coming, “100%”. I’ll give him time, especially since border crossing are reported as being down 90%. His mouth has done a better job than a Wall could. Illegals are running scared, some have left.
Once the Wall is up, wanted criminals can’t leave, that’s one of the disadvantages. I’ll take it as I still want the Wall, though I don’t mind if some of it is virtual by way of drones with lasers, heh.
Obamacare? That’s a huge piece of legislation filled with poison pills, and Trump can’t do more about it without congress. Only a minority of Congress is on his side.
“Trump has currently lost me.”
Not me. I figured if he even tried to do half of what he promised, I’d be deliriously happy, and he’s batting way over half.
Since you’re now lost to Trump, you’re free to vote Democrat in 2018, and vote Hillary II in 2020. In the mean time, you’ll be most welcome at therightscoop.com
A couple of threads down we have the above...
I get Trump’s emails daily, they are a real pick-me-up.
Yes, yes, I know, I know. I remember your screen name.
The jab was specifically in order to try to get your attention away from the aggravation you’re feeling, even if just to re-direct it at me and get your attention elsewhere. And a little of my own frustration, I admit.
So apologies for the sting it caused.
I think it would be best if a lot of people took a break for a bit and came back later with clearer heads. I mostly say this because I myself had to do the same thing.
We all need perspective sometimes.
Trade balance is on hold for a very good reason. I have no doubt he will take that up when the time is right.
I live on the border and am not discouraged about the wall, this is not the real budget- just a partial to get to the end of the fiscal year because our real budget has been messed up so many times previously. I believe when the actual budget negotiations happen there will be more on the table for him to deal with. I think he should un-fund all the dims and RINOs pet projects then give them back a few if they fund the wall. If we didn’t have RINOs bucking him we would not have an issue now, I think a few dims could be convinced. This “bipartisan” game has to end, not sure how to do that when we have so many RINOs.
He has really accomplished so much, even with RINOs, dims, and liberal judges fighting him every step.
If we had Hillary she would have been able to do all sorts of harm by now because the RINOs would have been helping her. They don’t obstruct the dims because they have the same agenda, world government and lining their pockets.
I said a few days after election night that we didn’t have a conservative majority in Congress, only a plurality.
I think I may have been overly generous with my estimates.
He is swamp draining as he can, the light is at least on many of the roaches and we can see how deep it really is.
As to locking her up, I hope that can be done. I hope people are working behind the scenes on that, have no idea but sure hope so.
I don’t want to underestimate him, I think he does intend to do all he promised, he just got started. He certainly has an uphill battle though.
DACA will be a battle of monumental proportions, it will be a hill for dims to die on. DACA illegals have the sympathies of many that want a secure border. I think he is on the right track with deportations and border security. I think when the time is right and his border policy starts paying off for Americans in a big way he will be able to fight that battle. I think if he had stopped DACA on day one, a liberal judge would have stopped him on day two, craziness out there.
There are far more illegals being deported than the media wants us to know, we only hear about those that we are supposed to feel bad about. When more deportation centers are built, and more immigration judges hired to clear the backlog in the hearing process the pace will pick up considerably. This is all in progress though media doesn’t tell us. At a certain point things will fall together and there should be more support for him to fight the “tough” immigration battles.
I have always said I believe his toughest battles will be for border security, and enforcing illegal immigration laws. I truly believe it will be a fierce battle, the dims are already geared up for it.
Yeah I suspect you are right.
Will take a lower profile for a couple of days, see if this is something which will pass.
Sure hope so.
I sure don’t see anyone better than Trump out there, anywhere.
