$1,300 a month? For Durham? Durham's okay, but not THAT nice. I'm from Wallingford, so am familiar with the area.

$1,300 a month would get you a pretty nice 3 br 2 ba house on small acreage in most outer suburbs and rural areas of North Carolina, all inclusive. Mortgage, taxes and insurance.

That’s meant to compensate for such nonprofits generally being exempt from property taxes—which is what funds municipalities.
