Did an underground substation go ka-blooey? That's usually the case in New York City when a large area of any of the boroughs there lose power.

I’m guessing this means Our Lady of Maytag will not be agitating or spinning today...

The outage was probably caused by Global Warming.

When a big power outage hit NYC many years ago, 9 months later there was a baby boom.

In San Francisco, there will just be a shortage of love jelly.

Just think of all the good this is doing for the environment. San Franciscans should be delighted.

Imagine if you will...

A city where 20% of the population is Asian...

and the traffic lights quit working in a power outage.

Confirmed--it was an underground PG&E substation at Larkin Street that caught fire. And electrical fires are dangerous to put out--those fires require special fire-retardant chemicals.
