ISIS Troops Reportedly Targeted U.S. Advisers With A Mustard Agent In Iraq

An Iraqi outpost with US and Australian military advisers in western Mosul was hit with an ineffective “low grade” mustard agent by Islamic State forces on Sunday, according to CBS News.

At least six Iraqis were treated for breathing issues at a field clinic, while none of the advisers were believed to have been injured.

The Pentagon released a statement saying that the ineffective attack “further displays the desperation of ISIS as they seek to hold an untenable position in Mosul,” ABC Australia reported.

“My advice right at the moment is no Australian troops were affected but Australian forces did provide assistance following the attack, said Australian Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull. “That’s my current advice received in last few minutes.”

US defense officials in Iraq could not be reached for comment.

This was reportedly the second chemical attack in recent days — an Iraqi military officer also claimed that ISIS forces launched a rocket loaded with chlorine in the al-Abar district in West Mosul, one Associated Press report said.

I recall that the Aussies took a number of Japanese prisoners back in WW2. Flew them to the POW camps.... planes landed empty.

They can’t have. The liberals have been hammering Bush for years saying there are no weapons like this in the middle east. And especially in those countries that have used them in the past. How can they use something they don’t have? (Morons!)

When are the conservatives going to hammer back by name?!!??!!

I just retired from the Army last summer.

I have several good friends that were hit with gas while they were in Iraq.

It's common knowledge in the Army that gas was used by the insurgents in Iraq.

Another reason that these jihadis need to be killed in place - not allowed to filter into the West, or processed through some “rehabilitation program” and then allowed to infiltrate the West.

They have deadly skills.

Sebastin Gorka was on the John Batchelor radio show tonight, and he recounted a plot that was disrupted (I think in Jordan), which planned to bulletproof a truck with welded steel panels for delivery of poison gas. He said that it could have killed as many as 80,000.

The pace of operations in Mosul slowed down a few weeks back, when the Iraqi Federal Police came up to the dense streets of the Old Town, and a high profile incident occurred where a large group of civilians were killed in an air strike (apparently human shields set up for the propaganda effect).

Well, it looks like the slowdown is now officially over. The Iraqi security forces re-set with new tactics, new weapons (drone jammers) and reinforcements. The Iraqi 9th Division entered the City Gate from the North West, opening a new front against ISIS.

Yesterday (19 April), Iraqi Prime Minister Abadi came to Western Mosul, and “confirmed the necessity of speeding up the liberation of the city from ISIS militants as they continue to use civilians as human shields.” Such orders delivered in person like that, strike me as significant. I believe they have launched the final phase (except perhaps for a small core of the Old Town, which might be handled a bit differently, after the greater city is cleared).

A few high value targets in the ISIS command structure in Mosul were reported killed today, including their Intelligence chief, and the first aide to the boss (Abu Bakr al Baghdadi). It seems that the Iraqi Security Forces are advancing again with more intense pressure across a wide front.

The ISIS garrison can’t take much more of this. Weeks. Maybe a section of the Old Town might hold out a few weeks longer.

When Mosul is cleared, Tal Afar will require fewer assets, and fires should be ready to start shifting to Raqqa City.

Then Iraq will be mostly chasing small ISIS groups trying to hide in small Sunni towns in the desert of al Anbar, or along the Euphrates River “rat line” into Syria. More like guerilla war or traditional anti-terrorist than big fixed battles.

It's common knowledge in the Army that gas was used by the insurgents in Iraq.

It's common knowledge that ISIS uses gas in Syria to provoke the US.

It's common knowledge that the press works hard to hide identities of Muslim terrorists who kill infidels (see Brian Williams' attack on President Trump who identified the Paris Police attack as Islamic terrorism before the presstitutes had told Americans what to think).

It's common knowledge that America's FIRST Muslim President, was working to establish ISIS and aid the terrorists' cause of making the world 100% ISLAM so Mohamed can return.

It's common knowledge(or should be) that Hussein Obama was working to destabilize the Arab world so that large numbers of Muslims would invade the west.

It's common knowledge that the government of Hussein Obama was infested with Muslims.

It's not common knowledge that Americans are the biggest set of fools in history.

“confirmed the necessity of speeding up the liberation of the city from ISIS militants as they continue to use civilians as human shields.”

Hussein Obama, America's FIRST Muslim President, must be so proud of his ISIS fighters. But at the same time, he must be so sad that his Muslim brothers are being slaughtered under President Trump.

If only Hillary had been elected, then the Muslim conquest of the west could have continued virtually unchecked.

Welcome home, brother. I retired in 1995 from the air force officially, but I worked with all branches within the scope of DP and terrorist tactics. Five years after I retired, they asked me back and re-employed me with the DOD back into the field. I spent another 12 years in before I was medically retired permanent.

I find it almost stupid for the government to try to cover their back-of-the-lap due to political statements made during the early 90’s to the present by liberals trying to gain a foothold in the system. In my MOS with the DOD, I slipped into an equivalent to a 35 Foxtrot and/or a 27 echo for field operations. I, and my cohorts, were well aware of the use of different weapons like mustard and sarin gas, against US and Israeli troops via launched middle range missiles they were not supposed to have that they got from Russia.

Seems kind of futile at this point, doesn’t?
