It is amazing to me that Fox News would dump O'Reilly , and preserve Shepherd Smith , who has become the voice and the face of anti-Trump sarcasm on Fox . As for O'Reilly ; it should be a warning to the famous and the wealthy to guard their honor and maintain their virtue .

Now there is no reason to keep Comcast.
I’m unplugging - saving a ton of money.

Don’t need “The Five” and I suspect the market will decide that I’m right about that. Would rather see Bolling later but moving Tucker Carlson in the prime BOR spot makes good sense. Will look for that to surpass the ratings BOR was getting.

And Watters will be waiting...in his world...

As he said, no one even complained anonymously.

Hit job, but also a business decision.

Haven’t watched him in at least a decade. I remember back then a female news anchor accused him of sexual harassment.

Quit watching FOX altogether a few years ago. Cnn or msnbc for breaking news if I have TV on.

Didn’t much care about O’Reilly as years have gone by. Used to watch. Wishy-washy on almost everything so this doesn’t bother me.

I’d much rather watch Carlson than BOR(e), but I’m gobsmacked that Fox would boot him.

NPR can report that @TuckerCarlson will take O’Reilly’s 8 p.m. slot. A new generation takes over the most valuable real estate in cable news

What I see here is an opening for One America News, since they are on DirecTV now.....

Seemed together on the air. He did some good things especially for our vets. But behind the scenes I recall his marriage reached a nasty conclusion. I also imagine the arrogance and power of success could have brought him down. It seems like Fox was in an untenable position. I suppose we’ll never know for sure.

They pretty much had to can him. With all the publicity the payouts to the women he hits on would be going up sharply.

He wasn’t canned for harassing women, he was canned because the details of the multiple harassment settlement became public.

Thank Media Matters for that.

Still, if BOR had behaved himself, there would be nothing to settle or disclose. Ultimately he’s responsible.

Now I wonder...just for shock value NBC should start the rumor they’re thinking of bringing him on as Megyn’s co-host. There would be blood (from the uh, eyes).

Or maybe Trump could use a new press secretary?

I got tired of BOR. Although he seems to have a problem with sexual promiscuity, he consistently stood with the Right on social/moral issues. He came across as basically a decent guy.

On the other hand, he seemed clueless when it came to the unconstitutional portion of the federal government and was tone deaf when it came to understanding the benefits of the free market.

I make far less than O’Reilly and have found that it’s not difficult to refrain from harassing females in my office.

Any normal person would think that he should be able to behave in a civilized manner at work while having millions of dollars thrown at him every year.

Zero pity for O’Reilly.

They’ll be out of biz if they think Dana Perino can carry that slot.
