Bradner does not once mention there were 11 Republicans candidates running in the election, nine of them Democrat plants. Well, the "plants" part I made up. But, I learned to do that from CNN.

And then this: "...could still have the effect of leading GOP lawmakers in competitive states and districts to seek distance from the President, making it even more difficult for Trump to advance his agenda on Capitol Hill."

Bradner, you lie by omission and then doubled down and just flat out lied.

Remember how the media howled when Rush said very early in the Obama presidency that he hoped he would fail. What the hell is CNN doing then in regards to the Trump presidency? They’re not trying to hide their hate for the president and everyday there’s a new attack in their efforts to drive the president out of office.

A couple of years ago, some journalist wrote up a cost article on House campaigns. Depending on a competitive race....you could spend as little as $100k if you were repeater or a district heavily slanted toward your party. Heavy competition? You’d need over $250,000.

In this Georgia situation, with 11 GOP guys running....I would take a guess that the bulk of this group never had more than $10,000 each. I was looking over the results and most of the GOP candidates didn’t clear more than 400 votes (probably from family, friends, and local town).

The GOP does not answer wake up calls.

Not do they do much else.

They spent a fortune and still couldn’t close the deal.

“Democrats Suffer Major Defeat Trying to Stop Trumpmentum” is the real headline.

This is CNN = This is Fake News.

The CNN clowns are crying tonight.

When Kerry joined the Obama admin, Republicans were able to win the special election for his senate seat in communist Massachusetts.

But democrats have now failed to win two special elections in a row. Trump is clearly much more popular than Obama.

CNN projects that Ossoff will miss the 50% he needed to win outright. He and the other top vote-getter -- Republican candidate Karen Handel -- will now face off on their own in June 'in this heavily Republican district and them knowing he does not live there.'

"And then this: "...could still have the effect of leading GOP lawmakers in competitive states and districts to seek distance from the President, making it even more difficult for Trump to advance his agenda on Capitol Hill.""

Alternate analysis: The obstructionist GOP Congress nearly suffered a humiliating defeat tonight and was only saved by the last minute intervention of Donald Trump. If Paul Ryan doesn't get out of the way, the GOP will go down in 2018 because they unmasked themselves as the only slightly more conservative wing of the uniparty obstucting Trump's agenda.

Republicans were served another reminder of President Donald Trump's unpopularity Tuesday as Democrat Jon Ossoff nearly captured a House seat in a region that for decades has been a conservative stronghold, with the Democrat ultimately falling just short of the percent needed to avoid a runoff...

Wrong.

The liberals poured millions into Oss, and groups from as far away as Berkeley came out to work the hoods, not to mention the Hollywierd crowd crowing. The only wakeup call was, why did we have 18kazillion Republicans running?

CNN only tells part of the story, from my perspective there were four factors at play in this race:

1) Backlash against Mr. Trump. Not decisive in the sense CNN implies, but it motivates the Democrat base and drove the millions in outside donations. It was a factor.

2) Fragemented Republican field. The democrats coalesed around one candidate, the Rs had several candidates in a circular firing squad. That helps Ossoff at the margins.

3) Marginal Trump district. Trump underperformed Romney here, so the Republican electorate is less motivated to begin with, and more susceptible to a Dem candidate who runs to the right.

4) Appealing front man. Ossoff is young, photogenic, and talked a conservative message. He likely peeled off a fragment of marginal Republican voters. He addressed conservativeish issues and avoided the normal Democrat talking points like the plague.

And they still fell short. Thoughts?

"Wakeup call"? Osoff spent $8.3 million, almost all from outside sources, versus $4 million on the Republican side, and still couldn't win.

Rush was right, they already had the stories written and edited. Fortunately they needed to run with the "Osoff lost" story.

The stupid GOPers in Georgia stood in a circle and shot each other, ALMOST leaving the Dim holding the prize. Egos at play more than principles.
