If this peckerhead doesn’t get at least 50%+1 vote, he goes to a runoff. If that happens, I suspect he’s toast.
>>I’m still trying to get past girlfriend.
I know.. why don’t they just say “beard” like everyone else...
Noob. Jewish? I smell ozone.
Isn’t this illegal to run in a district u don’t live in?
only if you are a republican...
LOL. I’ll bet he’s one of those dorks that camps out in front of the theater in between Star Wars movies. Orders tickets online six months before each release. What a clown.
We have a Senator from Oregon...who lives in New York...wyden...I call him Ronny boy on his twitter account
“Isnt this illegal to run in a district u dont live in?”
No, it’s not. It’s not as uncommon as one would think in the US House.
He doesn't care, because if he steals the election, he'll be representing Pelosi, SChmuckie Schumer, and the muzzie kenyan Hussein 0bama, NOT Georgia!
His girlfriend of 12 years, eh ?
Any word on turnout or exit polling?
There are groups of folks in this country who align themselves as liberal, hardcore liberal, and vote straight democrat down to the last man, woman and lizard. I hate liberals. Can’t stand them.
“Wouldnt that be unconstitutional?”
No. The Constitution requires that U.S. Representatives be inhabitants, as of the day of their election, of the *state* (not the district) that they represent. So the only inhabitancy requirement that he has is that he must be a resident of the State of Georgia, which requirement he meets; heck, he could live in Savannah and still be elected constitutionally to represent the GA-06. He won’t be able to vote for himself, though.
Of course, this won’t matter in the end, since he won’t win a majority of the vote today nor in the run-off.
I remember when living sin was enough to keep his kind out of office.
Good times.
Hopefully Ossoff blows off $10 million in campaign funds and leaves the looney left more despondent leading into the 2018 midterms.
The left is desperately trying to get their next ‘win’, to start a Trump fatigue narrative. They just tried this in a special election in Kansas and failed.
Is this legal?
Is this legal?
He’ll be lucky to get past 43%. Choose your GOP opponent wisely and you’ll do fine.
Yes. You just have to live on the state.
Here is an example from 2016.
When the North Carolina congressional districts were redrawn in 2016, the 2nd was made significantly more compact, losing much of its territory near Greensboro. It now took in a large chunk of the area represented by the former 13th district, forcing Ellmers into a primary challenge with George Holding, whose former district number was moved to the Triad area of North Carolina. Ellmers contended that Holding wasn’t qualified to run in the district since he lived just outside its borders. However, the new 2nd was geographically more Holding’s district than Ellmers’.[26] In the June 7th primary, she lost her primary campaign to Holding by an almost 30 point margin,
