With all due respect, and for you my respect is over the top and then some for years (early 90’s. Came here after the Lucianne purge), but I think you are underestimating our abilities. (In all fairness I can be overestimating ours.)
At this point we KNOW most these “reliable” articles are not. They are farcical. I guess we can agree to disagree.
But I deal here in D.C. everyday with people who believe this stuff!!! How can I fight it if I don’t know what they are reading?
Being in D.C. and having to deal with that crowd, of course, you need to do what you need to do about dealing with and fighting against people who believe this stuff by familiarizing yourself with what they are reading. That is fine. We all have things we have to do to deal with the things around us - and may God help you and bless you in your fight.
But posting on FR is a different deal.You have to know who your audience is. FR is trying to influence the general public who often doesn’t know what to believe. Some have said that they thought that FR was a Leftist site because of all the Leftist articles that are posted. I KNOW we can do better than that.
And it’s not a question of perfection by any outlet. There’s Breitbart, WND, Drudge to name a few who you could call reliable. Fox could be fair. But we know these and other “reliable sources” can get off course sometimes. That isn’t the issue.
The issue is we KNOW certain outlets, those that were basically part of Hillary’s campaign and the DNC, who are PRESUMABLY LYING. How many freaking articles from CNN (Counterfeit News Network) are mindlessly posted on FR because CNN is the first one to show up on a Google list or on Facebook? We can do a lot better than that.
If you still don’t agree, that’s OK. To each his own I guess. But I’ll be here chomping away trying to influence as many to post the truth (and if need be, referencing in the body of the text, the lie and the outlet that lied).
Well, maybe your positive encouragement is doing more good to more people than you think.

I have mixed feelings about not posting their articles. I think it is important to know what they are saying, since so many do think they are real. Posting them here where people can post the problems/lies with the article allows many to see it broken down. Later when an uniformed person or crazy lib tries to use that info for talking points many people already know the truth.
I have seen some things posted here that probably don’t need to be, but it is good to know what the other side is being told...even some on our side that don’t realize they cannot count on the MSM to be truthful. I know some good folks that know they lie and still get suckered in by some of their propaganda so it is helpful to see it here first with the followup discussion.
Yes but President Reagan also had a humorous way of cutting them down to size when needed. Same humor he used on Democrats to cut them down when necessary. He could say a few words and make them look like the fools they are.
Generally, it is harmful IMO to post the unedited headline and article from a lying leftist media outlet.
Why not post your own article under Bloggers & Personal with a truthful headline about the lie? Or why not find a reliable source that tells the truth and exposes the lie? Either way is much more effective IMO than merely posting the lying source unedited.
You neutralize the lie by speaking the truth. Lies aren’t defeated by repeating the lie. Lies are defeated by repeating the truth. A lot of people will read the headline and the first few lines and assume it is true because it is posted on FR. Many have jobs and families and are too busy to research every one of the thousands of articles that get posted here.
We should be a site that repeats the truth not the lies. Some have said they thought FR was a Leftist site because of the leftist articles that are posted. I think we can do better than that.
If our mission is to tell the truth and expose the lie, the best way is to TELL THE TRUTH from a truthful source, and, in the headline or text of the article, also EXPOSE THE LIE.
I disagree, we need to keep the headline. We have always posted news articles as they are, then discussed issues with them. I don’t see a problem with that, it has been working for a long time.
The MSM has been openly lying since the 1960s that I know of and likely before that but I was too young to know. The difference now is more people realize they are lying.
Well, Tammy, I responded to you because it sounded from your reply that you might be open to other, reasonable ideas. Anyway, regardless, nobody’s talking about changing the headline of a third-party source. I’m talking about changing the source.
The standard of excellence and effectiveness isn’t what we’ve always done. Companies in the free market go out of business with that as their standard. We in FR and elsewhere should be continually looking to improve our strategy and tactics in our fight to recover our Free Constitutional Republic.
Why do you think it is greater benefit to post directly from a presumptively lying source which infers its truth, than to post directly from a reliable source (or from yourself) to attack the Leftist lie?
